Three well taken goals in a half where we had so much possession. I assume Anita is starting at fullback to deal with Narsingh. It was hard to tell from the replay about how Dost got free though I think Toby should have picked him up. Good play from Heerenveen on that one. I think we will see more goals from each side in the second half as I'm not convinced about our defense without Vertonghen.

Ok so what Have I seen so far: Ajax is reachng almostBarcelona like possession figures, it's ridiculous. Janssen has a lot to do with it, dictating play as the deep lying playmaker. As we kept possession we haven't had to worry with our troublesome backside, excpet when they actually get one through and all hell breaks loose. We didn't actually find that many ways trough though despite the midfield domination. The good thing is that this Toby goals from long range are not something out of the blue. Of course, Toby has a magnificent range, but it also has to do with tactics, so we can be optimistic this type of goals will come mroe often. Toby finds so much space to shoot because our midfielders and forwards push Herenveens lines closer to the goal, so he gets all that time and space to shoot a screamer. So the bottom line, we looked good but we have to find more creative ways to get through (Thulani, anyone?), and we still look shaky at the back.
