Appears that Bristol City are going to take Evander Sno on loan. They are welcome to him.The fact that a championship club wants him says it all ie he is not good enough for Ajax.

Agreed. I get unbelievably tired of hearing about some mid-table eredivisie outfit losing a key player to some bigger club only to watch them turn around and buy some highly-touted Slav, Scandinavian or Latin American. Why can't we do that? It frustrates me no end.

We did by Cvitanich. I remember how excited eveyone was in watching YouTube clips of goals he had scored in Argentina. I think one reason we may not scout young players in those countries is that for better or worse the team relies on its youth system to produce quality players. Maybe we have hit a bit of a dry patch in that regard but one can look at the players who have transferred away over the last several years: Sneijder, Heitinga, Babel, Maduro, etc. Had we kept those players things might be a lot different today. Would this system be as good as it is if the club made the choice to go the scouting route and bring in a lot of foreign talent (similar to what Arsenal does)? I don't know the answer to that. Until some sanity comes to UEFA football, the team will always be in a position of having to sell players to maintain a healthy balance sheet. My hope is that Platini will prevail and bring some semblance of sanity back by controlling the movement of underage players and figuring how to deal with the crazy financing of the system. It was laughable to read yesterday that Abramovich was going to work with Platini on this only to see a little later in the day that Chelsea were going to offer €65 million for Ribery. Crazy times.

I still don't understand why we're trying to get rid of Cvitanich. He may not be the next Zlatan, but he's far from a poor player. He started today. It doesn't make any sense.

Appears Bodul is off to the beautiful city of Brugge to join Koster at Club Brugge( my Dutch friends will note I always spell this place correctly ie the Flemish way.)

I am sure some loans will got through but I certainly would not sell Cvitanich.

So after a day out I was expecting to see 3/4 players going today instead just Sparta having finally got Bodul on loan.

Oleguer is not for AEK not sure who does?
Ogarau no one wants him.Will stay.
Kennedy Gabri Lindgren all staying , which is expected.
Cvitanich wants to play 90 mins and would go anywhere on loan!! probably stay.

Martina VdHeijden and Blind are all playing for the reserves at this moment and this would suggest they are not going. Blind and Van der Heijden will be off to the Dutch u 21 tomorrow knowing they are likely to stay with Ajax reserves until January .

Sno and Sarpong are not playing tonight suggests they may be off . Sno to Bristol City seems more than a rumour . Sarpong ,who knows !!!

So having all summer to unload players we have reached the last day with just 1 out on loan. Does this suggest other clubs cannot afford to pay their wages or are they all crap??????

Ogararu.. who wants him? Club Brugge wants him... except Ogararu said no himself.

It is not these senior players not leaving that surprises me but the young loan players . A report today states Sarpong is hoping to go on loan with Volendam likely and if no one comes in for VdHeijden or Blind they can either stay with the reserves or possibly go to Haarlem!!! I wonder why these young players are not being actively wanted by eredivisie clubs.

I find it utterly depressing are these players overrated by us!

I think the other Eredivisie clubs are hoping to pick up talent for the long term and not just loaned players. It is probably more like Robbie Schilder where nobody wanted him on loan last season as he was a free transfer at the end of the year. At least this is my thinking. I suspect the ones you mention do have talent but that other clubs don't want someone for just one season. Maybe things are changing relative to 3-4 years ago when loans were more common.

NEC have offered to take Kennedy but i do not think he wants to go!!

Sarpong is going to have very little games between now and January. As I said there will be about 30 players to chose from for every Jong game . Surely someone like VVV or RKC would like him .

Apart from him the only other leavers today will probably be those going to Haarlem . I am not sure Blind wants to go there!

Bit of shock that in the 3 hours since my last post nobody went apart from 2 first year reserves Overtoom and Candan to Haarlem.

After todays business we have 31x 1 st teamers and 17 jong players.

Players who are completely spare and unlikely to see much action

Silva Ogararu Oleguer Lindgren Gabri Kennedy Sarpong Martina Blind and even Cvitanich .

These 10 will be on the fringes until December .We will try again in January maybe .

let's put it like this (if some update does not come, who knows)

BEFORE today we had already 32 first teamers, then other 3 buys: pantelic, ze eduardo, kerlon: 35.

BUT: sarpong, martina and blind will go all the year with the reserves, and the same goes for ze eduardo: - 4
we have loaned sno, vdheijden and bodul: - 3
that decreases the number to 28, but kerlon initially will see only young ajax action: 27.

still a bad number, but seen what our situation was...
the problem is that we had not the defender we needed, and that we weren't able to get rid of someone between oleguer, lindgren, kennedy and ogararu, maybe also gabri (nothing personal against him, but seems so far away from ajax with all his injuries). now these guys are totally useless and probably also very demotivated which is "dangerous" for the team spirit. and oleguer now has to be given a last chance.

Gabri has been so injury prone , I'm hardly surprised that he is still with us. Clubs will know that his production is limited at best . Of the ten , at least Kennedy and Oleguer provide experienced squad depth. The wear and tear of the season will now play its part to inflict injuries on numerous clubs. There's always January.

Orange Goblin you are right with your numbers as Blind Sarpong and Martina will just stay with the Jong along with Ze Eduardo making 27 . Ogararu will just be stuck in the reserves if indeed they do not buy him out and Kerlon will likely be with the first team after a week or 2 so in effect we have 26 .

It appears the only teams wanting the 3 youngsters named above were Volendam for Sarpong and Haarlem the others and all 3 would rather stay here. Sarpong and Martina have nil future here but Blind does and I doubt his career would advance with a spell at Haarlem.
