Well, I wasn't until you said that!Kowalczyk schreef:I'm not worried. Are you?![]()
5-0 is a comfortable lead but I remember several years ago having a lead in a CL qualifying round (was it FC Copenhagen) and totally losing composure, the second leg and the aggregate (sorry for bringing back bad memories). With this club nothing is for certain but I hope this return leg is!!Kowalczyk schreef:I'm not worried. Are you?![]()

Let's just get a quick away goal. That will keep us from having to worry too much.gordonvandekamp schreef:Yeah, I think we can use this one to test a few players...as long as we don't give up 5 goals. They way the defense, that should be doable, but who knows
Very strange explanation : ramadan will end on the 21rst September. Won’t he play until then ?orange goblin schreef:I read that's because ramadan has begun (what a rhyme!)
The ramadan is indeed the reason why Aissati has been left out (this has been confirmed by Jol), but it doesn't necessarily mean that he will be rested for every game until September 21st. Ajax can afford it in this particular case (5-0 lead) and it's also a midweek game (and therefore Aissati's second game in a week's time). All of those factors combined led to this decision, which I find totally plausible.philippe schreef:Very strange explanation : ramadan will end on the 21rst September. Of note: Hakeem Olajuwon, the legendary center for the Houston Rockets (and, for the latter part of his career, devout Muslim) observed the fast during Ramadan, even during daytime playoff games. His career stats during that period are higher than those for non-Ramadan games.Kowalczyk schreef:The ramadan is indeed the reason why Aissati has been left out (this has been confirmed by Jol), but it doesn't necessarily mean that he will be rested for every game until September 21st.
