A Volendam supporter just sent me this link:

Oh well, the bloke got me tickets - and he will do it again for the league game in a few weeks' time. I'll cut him some slack.

Why did MvB risk Ajax's frontline players in a meaningless cup game last night? Just four days before Ajax - P$V for Christ's sake.
Now not only do we not have a striker worthy of the name fit, we've lost both our central defenders.
Then to cap it all van Basten has the nerve to say "We missed having a real striker".
No shit, Sherlock - play your kids next time...

It surely indicates how important the domestic cup competitions are to the major clubs in every given country.Orange14 schreef:Just catching up on other league cup scores. Both Real Madrid and Chelsea crashed out of their cups to lower division teams. I guess I don't feel quite as bad right now.
Nevertheless, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Ajax looked like a bunch of tits yesterday evening, no matter how you look at it.

I am full of obscure facts I think you all know this !!!!!!!!!!!
Just watched Ajaxtv highlights of last night. I also watched the reserves game v PSV and the A1 game from last Saturday. Marvin Zeegelaar featured in all 3 making his debut in 2 differnt levels of football in 48 hours. Having scored for the reserves he could not repeat it for the first team.
Playing 3 different levels in 5 days has got to be some sort of Ajax record.
I imagine only Kluivert and Van der Vaart possibly played for the first team with next to no reserve games. Menno will probably tell us!
