Cheers, that's a useful looking site too - so obvious given the name if I'd done a Google search but hadn't seen it before.
Re the 1st July, I think that's because all "new season" transfers are nominally from that date - Johnny Heitinga is in there as well. There do seem to be a lot from Belgium yes though.........

hmm, yes, not impressed with that site as it seems I can only share with named people. Anyway, try this one instead http://s322.photobucket.com/albums/nn402/se6ajacied/aveslacker schreef:I can't see anything -- can you embed the image on here?

This is great modern way to break a transfer story...
Facebook reveals teen transfer
..."Ashley-Paul is goin fulham on monday," the young midfielder was quoted as saying by the Guardian newspaper. "If i pull dis off im on dis ting."...
http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/facebook ... er-122625/
Also, is dis English language we speek goin 4 goodz? I mean how hard would it have been for him to write 'If I pull THIS off I'M on THIS THING'. I'm sure his English teacher is very proud.

Let's face it Dan, if the kids can't speak properly now, it's nothing to do with the teachers! It's society.....no role models, except those "quick fix heroes" of the American music business! Besides, if you play for Fulham, or any Premier club, English is the 2nd language!!!!

You can't just film someone without asking permission, especially if that 'someone' is a giant snake... They don't like cameras.

Sign that snake up as our new central defender.
Speaking of football players speaking, here are a couple of Oleguer's best, as written by Sid Lowe, World Soccer Magazine , July, 2008 issue, pages 90 and 91:
" Barca represent the diffusion of Catalan identity and culture;they really were a conduit for a feeling in an age when people couldn't express themselves. That meant rejecting centralism and embracing liberal politics."
and
when Barca beat Madrid to the league title of 2004 , Oleguer declared that the team had become " the Army of joy travelling up the Avenida Diagonal in the other direction [ to Francoist troops in 1939 ]. He concluded: "We imagined ourselves halting that pack of tanks, responding to their bullets with anthem and song, and laughing in the face of the facist ire of those military men."
a far cry from ghetto speak.

I love how he just looks around for a second... and puts his hat back on.

As if he's thinking: "Hmm, that was a bit a bit over the top, wasn't it, crashing through a window pane like that, but oh well, shit happens."

That's very funny - I thought it was genuine too but seems to be an advert. You couldn't do this in NL though - didn't they abolish the 1 and 2 cent coins....Kowalczyk schreef:"The only reason why a dollar is a dollar, is because it's worth a hundred pennies."

A man's wife passed away, so his friend visits him at his home to offer his condolence.
"My deepest sorry mate, may I give your wife my respects?"
"Sure lad, come in. I buried her in the back yard"
The two head to the back, only for the friend to be surprised by the site.
"Em, Charlie why is her bum sticking out?"
" Well I still need a place to park my bike lad"

Question for those regarding Dutch shirt sizes/choices...
I'm looking to order the new home shirt, either from Ajax's website or from another vendor in the Netherlands. I'm a little confused regarding both the sizes and choices.
For example, the Ajax Online Shop has the following listed:
Ajax Home Shirt 128 - €60,00
Ajax Home Shirt S - €70,00
What's up with the €10 price difference, is it anything apart from the sizing? That's what it looks like to me (as the size choices for the €60 shirt are 128/140/152/164/176 and the other are s/m/l/xl), but I assume there's some other difference as I can't imagine that alone would cause a €10 difference.
Any help would be appreciated.

It seems to me that it would be less expensive to order it through a US based website (I think they all use the same distributor) and save a lot of money. I've seen the shirts listed for $69.99 on the Fox Soccer, Big Soccer and ESPN SoccerNet. Given the exchange rate for Euros, you would save about $20-25.

Yeah that's what I've done before. The problem is that the printing I've gotten before wasn't so hot when I've ordered from the US. I figured I may splurge a little this year and I've yet to see a US distributor with the correct lettering/numbering, although I could be wrong. I'm planning a trip to Amsterdam early next year, but don't know if I'll wait until then to get one.Orange14 schreef:It seems to me that it would be less expensive to order it through a US based website (I think they all use the same distributor) and save a lot of money. The exchange rate is totally crap, you're right, and it's looking like it will be about $150 US for something ordered from the Netherlands with printing. For that price, I figured I'd get the sizing straight before I went ahead with any order.
So I guess my question about sizing still stands, but I'm also open to any ideas anyone may have about a US shop that's selling shirts with authentic lettering.

I can't help with sourcing an Ajax shirt (though you can get one here for around £35.00 in the shops) but I did find this useful looking guide on European/UK/US clothing sizes.
