They would not be eligible as they are still registered with a Brazilian team.
Ajax played a friendly reserve game last week v Hollandia amateurs which was used as a sort of trial game with these 2 Brazilians.
I would imagine Ajax will play another reserve trial game this week to see these 2 lads plus the young South African trialist Classen.

The reserves played a friendly last night v Jong Volendam won 2-0 Lewis and Mitea scored.
18 players used all together as it was just a run out but Sarpong played 90 mins and in the first half Manucharyan played.
Krohn-Dehli did not play and having not gone to Dubai must still have an injury.
The reserves first league game after the break is next Monday.

I was about to finish the above but the diner was put on the table.
Just to finish my waffle.
The complete opposite in football to Ajax is Arsenal. Sure they have a lot of talented kids but only one of them is British. They go all over the world nicking kids from other youth systems and say look at us and our kids.
They have only 2 Brits in their squad Theo Walcott 18 year old who they paid about £ 15m for and does not look anything special (he is no Messi and no Rooney) and a reserve full back called Hoyte who is actually from London.
10m people in London and just 1 is in Arsenal squad.
I still like to tease Arsenal fans by saying they cannot find any players from 60 million in Uk but Ajax do not have to look more than 20 miles from their ground. ( Sneijder is from Utrecht which is slightly more!! )
Against Werder Bremen in the first leg we took a local lad out of the youth team and gave him his debut . When I asked one of you locals why he wasn't in the return you replied he was doing school exams. I am talking about Mitchell Donald. To me that sums up the Ajax way .
Cheers to Ajax and its youth system. Long may they continue.
i know this is from a while ago but....
spl you do know a lot about ajax, but not arsenal, do you know that their youth team has the hotest propects in england. wenger had to make changes when he came in and it has taken till now for those to bear fruit. the way arsenal play now is exactly the same as the ajax 95 team. all young players all playing the same way. i know the arsenal first 11 is not from england but these things take time. i am a coach myself and was lucky enough to be invited over to ajax to see their coaches in youth system in action.
the names being banded around V basten, bergkamp are exceptionally great players. the youth at ajax will always produce good players and some great ones too but as long as they can make the grade in the first team and get results then that is it. they look to move 5 or 6 players on each season from the first and ressies and this is all for profit. it is a business.
i would love to see ajax and arsenal field teams of 11 or 16 home grown players but it may not happen in my life time but it is something to strive to
i agree with wot you said and i am lucky enough to have a fast download to watch jong ajax on the internet. they play great, the ajax way. sometimes though, the first team cant seem to get it right.

Where are you watching the Jong Ajax games at? I don't think I have ever seen anything online, but would probably start checking them out if I had access.
Welcome Neiln to our great site.
My son's are Arsenal fans and have been since Bergkamp arrived there. They became great fans of his.
The current team do play lovely football and I am aware that their youth team has more local players than overseas. Randall, Gibbs Lansbury are all
local. It will interesting to see if these 3 are still there in a couple of years time.Arsenal have had a few local youths but when they get to 20 they get sold as they cannot get in the first team as there are always young overseas lads ahead of them.Connolly , only just 20, was highly rated last season but has now been sold.
Ajax of course do produce a lot more youths as they have 3 teams for those over 16 whereas in England clubs only have the one and of course the Dutch youth system is to 19 whereas in England it is now only to 18.
I do take an interest in the Ajax youth in as much as I follow through the internet our reserves and the senior youth team(the official site lists the team each game)
My interest in our youth is because this is what the club is still famous for
and the Ajax youth system is now a legend.
Ajax's equivalent to Gibbs Randall Lansbury are Donald Sarpong De Jong and Van Der Heijden but in 2 years time these guys will probably still be in our first team but those 3 Arsenal lads may not as they may not get a chance.
It does seem the current joke in England is that Arsenal's next English international will be their Spanish goalie!
I do hope that Arsenal can bring some English lads through but of course the other big 3 English clubs are equally as guilty.
I use the word 'hope 'but at Ajax we can use the words Dutch boys will definately be brought through .

Actually, the four ajacieden that you mentioned, only 2 of which will be definite starters in 2 years time, namely Siem de Jong and Jan-Arie Van der Heijden. There are question marks over Sarpong as the left midfield is full up of people like Davids, Schilder and Van der Heijden. As for Donald, well he is not performing well and could be loaned then sold eventually.
Just thought I may add this, if its alright with you SPL

Ok with me Ayman. I was just pointing out that those 4 lads were more likely to be in our first team in 2 years than the best 3 young English guys at Arsenal.
I must admit I do like what I have seen of Siem and Jan-Arie so far.
As I have said before I think Sarpong should go out on loan to get some first team games and experience.

SPL, thanks for the welcome.
I am agreeing with you completely, that is what drew me to Ajax all thoses years ago!
a team playing for the team, bred by the team for the team. Bosman has a lot to answer for!
Arsenals is my "other" team..(i was born there). Their youth has been turned upside down in the last 10 yrs. wenger had to bring in a policy where he could get the best he could see. and at that time it was bringing younguns in from outside and getting them to live that 90 mins away!!!(cheating? yes!)
but now, down to the 13s and 14s....wow! it will bear the fruit. more will come through, and both red andwhite younth making machines will churn out good players for years to come.
If i could get into a local club and get them to be more like both these clubs that would be great. but hey, i can dream....of ajax and arsenal champions league final 2010!!!

Reserves drew1-1 with Jong Haarlem Goossens scored.
As with the friendly a couple of weeks ago this was just a friendly game to give as many players as possible a run out. 21 played with all the young reserves apart from Alderwereild, injured last week, playing half a game.First team squad players( as well as Mitea and Vermaelen) Donald Sarpong Schilder and Manucharuan also played 45 mins.VdHeijden the only person to play 90 mins.
As with the friendly a couple of weeks ago Krohn-Dehli not involved ,not sure if he is injured or not.

As it has been reported I will just confirm thar our reserves won 3-1 a friendly v Trencin of Slovakia. Coached I believe by La Ling our old player.
Sarpong Manucharyan and Hasselbaink scored.
Verhoeff
Yildirim Sterk Liesdek Scheimann
Sarpong Lewis Goossens
Hasselbaink Manucharyan Tayeb
Subs used Van Duin Olijve and Tillema
NB Scheimann is a trialist from Kozakken Boys, Olijve and Tillema are from our A1 team and are not contracted.Verhoeff and Liesdek are contracted but played little for the reserves so far.

On Thursday we gave a reserve game to a Samuel Scheimann, he is having a trial this week. 20 year old left back from Kozakken Boys.
We do need a new left back but looking at our contracted reserves we already have 4. Slinjgard- the regular for the reserves, Sterk(who now plays centre back) and Liesdek. Plus Supusepa is the regular left back for the A1 youth and Dutch u19 and has not played many reserve games yet.
It could well be that this young trialist is the best of the lot but it would be great if one of the above 4 could come through to our first team squad.

Young Ajax - Young Twente
Young Ajax (#2 in the Beloftencompetitie) are playing the league leaders (Young Twente) at De Toekomst tonight. Twente are seven points clear, so if Young Ajax want to stay in the race they must win.
Good news: the game is almost over - and it's 3-0 Young Ajax. I've received a couple of texts from De Toekomst and they're reportedly paying very well. Leonardo, Manucharyan and Martina scored the goals. The only bad news: Kuffour made his début and he was "really shit" (this is a quote; don't shoot the messenger).
Anyway: excellent result for Aron Winter's boys.
edit: Game over. 3-0 final score. Twente now have 34 points out of 15 matches. Ajax have 30 out of 15. Groningen are third (29 out of 15). Eleven matches left to play. Ajax are completely and totally back in the race now.

We did suspect that he woudn't set the world on fire but early days yet, and this must be his first game at any level in 8 months or something so perhaps we shouldn't expect too much.Kowalczyk schreef: Kuffour made his début and he was "really shit" (this is a quote; don't shoot the messenger).

I bet he wouldn't have made the howler Vermaellen did yesterday - that sort of thing surely comes with experience (or lack of it).

Strangely enough, other than that stupid mistake (which could have easily been called a foul on the forward) Vermaelen played pretty well, I thought.SE6Ajacied schreef:We did suspect that he woudn't set the world on fire but early days yet, and this must be his first game at any level in 8 months or something so perhaps we shouldn't expect too much.Kowalczyk schreef: Kuffour made his début and he was "really shit" (this is a quote; don't shoot the messenger).

Yeah, well apart from in the scoring department (pretty major I know) I thought that the whole team were playing well yesterday. That mistake will surely end up on a "worst of" DVD somewhere though. No doubt T.V. is having the same thoughts but how easy just to put the ball out of play to be on the same side - it looked like he deliberately kept it in......aveslacker schreef: Strangely enough, other than that stupid mistake (which could have easily been called a foul on the forward) Vermaelen played pretty well, I thought.

I thought the team in general played ok, but lacked bite in midfield and a certain sense of urgency.SE6Ajacied schreef:Yeah, well apart from in the scoring department (pretty major I know) I thought that the whole team were playing well yesterday. It looked like TV tried to shepherd the ball out of bounds but it got stuck in the mud or something. I also thought he was unlucky not to be awarded a foul as it looked like the forward levered him into the ground. But still... he should have kicked it out of bounds.
In other events, I thought Siem de Jong looked pretty good.
