Seeking Internet Experts and regional TV information-givers
Howdy,
I'm building up a page on Ajax USA about watching Ajax on TV and on the Internet:
http://ajaxusa.com/tv/
Is there someone out there who knows lots about watching Ajax on the Internet (SOPcast, streamed, etc.)? I would like to publish that info on that page. You'll be given author credit and the same payscale enjoyed by the Publisher (me) and Editor (Kowalcyk). :-)
Also, if you live someplace other than USA, can you send me information about watching Ajax on TV in your beloved country?
Please email me at jmcgough(a)gmail.com if you can provide this vital information. Your fellow Ajacieden will thank you!!!

Ajax on TV in the UK.
There's 3 or 4 ways to watch:
1) Channel 5 (free to air non satelitle/cable channel) generally shows one full Eredivisie game a week, typically at about 03.00am and typically on a Thursday morning. You'll usually get one of the big three (and lately some AZ games too) from the previous weekend. They sometimes repeat the game as highlights at about the same time on Monday the following week.
2) Setanta 1 and Setanta 2 (pay channel on Satelite or cable). They will typically show one or two games a month on one of the channels, either live or as a delayed broadcast. Again, as in USA it might not be Ajax but generally has been this season. They also have a weekly highlights show, basically the Dutch programme De Wedstrijden (The Match) but with English commentary and without the studio pundits
3) Eurosport (free to air on cable or satelite) show the goals and sometimes brief highlights every week on "Eurogoals" on a Monday night around 5.00pm. Channel 4 (free to air non satelite/cable) sometimes show a similar programme on Sunday night/Monday morning.
4) European Games. These are shared between various channels. Champions League games (and highlights) are shown on Sky Sports (pay channel on Cable/Satelite) or on ITV1 (free to air non satelitle/cable) or ITV2/3/4 (free to air on cable of satelitle). TV rights for UEFA Cup games tend to be sold individually so the games are shown on a variety of channels, Channel 5/Eurosport and sometimes others as well, especially if a UK team is involved.
That's about it

Thanks, guys. I've updated the content on http://ajaxusa.com/tv/ with that great info from SE6Ajacied about UK broadcasts, and on a tip from Chugger I've done my own bit of research and installed SOPcast for the myP2P website. Just finished watching a bit of ice hockey (which ironically was being played just 40 miles down the road from me, in San Jose California). I might get up early on Sunday to watch the Ajax game. Hope it works!
I would love to have some similar information about France, Germany, Australia, Japan... wherever Ajax fans can see some action on television. Help me out!

I just mentioned that Jong Ajax v Jong FWord was on youtube.
I could not get youtube properly on my old computer and have to admit
I only discovered it about a month ago.
I see that it shows 6/7 mins videos of recent first team games and indeed several of the reserve games. The ones I have just watched come from Ajax Tv but I will have to go through youtube very closely as there appears to be loads of Ajax short videos.
I am sure that everyone on this site knows all about youtube .
Please accept that I am still stuck in the middle ages where technology is concerned!

Except, these are both away games for Ajax, so it should be NEC v Ajax and Vitesse v Ajax. Neither should be easy, but then, Ajax seem to always f*ck up the easy ones. Maybe they'll take 6 points!

Vitesse v Ajax is live on Setanta 2 at 11.25am on Sunday followed straight after by Feyenerd v Groningen :hupajax.gif:
Should be an interesting day and great to see Setanta showing more than one Dutch game a week. Good to see the competition sometimes and of course makes it much more likely that Ajax will be on.

They're showing (for the first time!) the full NEC game at 02.00am on Friday morning on Setanta 2 as well.
Very odd that as it wasn't shown live and isn't listed to be shown until Friday (at 02.00am) but again, looks great for the future if they are going to show all the games either live or as a repeat. They seem to be showing PSV, Feyenoord and Ajax every week at the moment either live or delayed as well as the highlights programme.
