The Eredivisie champions of 2008, whichever club it will be, will be - what we call in Dutch - a kampioen van de armoede, which literally means a 'champion of poverty', in other words: a champion of very low quality.
Ajax f*ck it up at Excelsior, but PSV fail to take advantage by losing at Groningen. F-word, meanwhile, beat Sparta with huge difficulty. Fair chance that they'll lose at Heerenveen this weekend. So Ajax just might go tops again. But will they beat FC Twente...? I don't think so.
Ajax conceded 21 goals in 15 games and were absolutely awful against some of the league's weakest sides (Sparta away, Excelsior away, etc.). PSV, in their turn, dropped points against pretty much every team from the top half of the table. Under Jan Wouters they've dropped more points that they've grabbed, I believe. Feyenoord? They're better than last season, but they lose evry more or less tough away game (hammered by Twente and PSV, for example).
The truth is that the football played by the so-called 'Big Three' at the moment is lightyears below par. Absolutely and utterly shit, all three of 'em.
The upside of all this?
Out of the three, Ajax are the 'healthiest' financially. Feyenoord have already spent their entire budget and PSV are still in dire straits, financially. So, if any of the 'Big Three' has the budget to make things better in January, it's definitely us. Let's look at it that way, is what I suggest.
Unfortunately, December ain't over just yet and I simply can't see us win tonight. I've ploughed through my entire brain and soul, but I can't find a teaspoon of optimism, to be honest.

Still alive...
Now thats more like it... opposite to the previous 3 games this
is a good football match
Although ajax could easily concead a goal or 2 couse
they're not pressing on the twente midfielders who have time to
aim wherever they want , ajax looked not bad and had a few attacks
especially when De jong was involved - the goal and his pass to Rommedhal.
Come on ajax

Yeah, I was using the Tele2 Sopcast stream for the first half, but it appears to have crashed at half-time (the last image was the server's Windows Task Manager lol).ajaxusa schreef:Effing SOPcast won't connect from work! Dammit! I should've stayed home. I'm having... no luck... these days.
So that one might not work, but the LiveSport1 feed is working now.
