He didn't save them; they dropped two points. PSV, with the great Perez, fucked up at NAC. Ajax, without the great Perez, are top of the league.Van basten schreef:And guess who saved PSV? Yeah...
Dont'get me wrong, I like the bloke and I rate him as a football player, but I am getting a bit tired of the way how press and public act as if God Himself is playing for PSV these days. Yes, he's doing well over there, but apparently not good enough to make them the league leaders.

Yes, he is not God. But PSV deserved a loss yesterday, they admit it on their own websiteKowalczyk schreef:He didn't save them; they dropped two points. PSV, with the great Perez, fucked up at NAC. And he got them a point, without him it would surely be worse.
I am not sure he would be in the same form if he was still at Ajax but
fact is that he is helping and saving our rivals now.
Hope you prove right about us being in the lead.
We simply should take today's match very seriously and be aware
of complacency. I will be delighted to see Ajax top, alone in the Eredivisie.
Go Ajax! Just take it seriously and give your best!

This is what I wrote two days prior to Ajax vs VVV:
Next weekend PSV play Willem II in Eindhoven. Piece of cake for PSV. They will be very determined and eager after a poor result at NAC Breda (1-1) and a midweek defeat at Inter. I expect a large win for PSV.
Feyenoord, on the other hand, have a tough away game coming up, against Vitesse in Arnhem. They will drop points over there. At least two.
Which means that Ajax will get another chance next weekend to increase their lead, but... I must admit that I don't have a particularly good feeling about Sparta-away. I'm sure Ajax will stuff them if it goes wrong against Dinamo Zagreb. However, if we eliminate Zagreb, I fear for underestimation and a very hard time at The Castle.
If I'm totally honest, I expect us to pull it off against Zagreb, but then suffer a very stupid defeat against Sparta.
It would be a damned shame if we fuck up over there, because (in spite of our injuries and everything-but-great form) we really get chances to do business in this phase of the league.

Here's my next prediction!Kowalczyk schreef:This could be a very good weekend for us: NAC Breda vs PSV and Feyenoord vs Heerenveen (both on Saturday evening).
(...)
NAC Breda away; that's a tough one, plain simple. They're doing quite well. They've been hard to beat in recent weeks and they can be good at home.
I have a feeling that Feyenoord or PSV will drop points tomorrow evening, which would enable us to do good business on Sunday.

BTW did anyone read about the PSV director's proposed plan of having 16 teams in the Eredivise? Apparently he wants a play off system between the top 8 and bottom 8, and wants a third professional Dutch league.
I just dont like the play off system itself, and I dont like how finishing 1st place won't mean anything in this guy's plan. I dont mind a third professional league though.

Actually Koeman's 4-4-2 will suit Valencia's squad perfectly. As for HTC at Chelsea, I'm not so sure his "beautiful game" works well for them either. They conceded 3 last night winning in extra time to a Championship team in Leicester City.
So both clubs are looking for a manager though Koster is in place at Ajax.

Indeed.Van basten schreef:No respect to the coach, who does things like that
I was a bit annoyed the other day when a certain visitor of this boards referred to a certain Ajax person as a 'quitter', but speaking of quitters: Ronald Koeman is a quitter of the worst kind.
This is the umpteenth time he doesn't finish the job, but f*cks off in the middle of the season. He will probably do it again at Valencia in March 2009 or something like that (never in July or August), whenever Barcelona contact him.
I am sorry to see him leave PSV, by the way, because I think he's a really shit manager. PSV now have the worst manager in the world (Jan Wouters), but that's temporary. If they land Martin Jol or Fred Rutten/René Eykelkamp (of FC Twente) they're actually better off than they were with Ronald Koeman. That's why I really hope they'll go for Erwin Koeman (who is a useless tit).
I read that Koeman wants Van der Vaart at Valencia... Yeah, right! VDV was one of the youngsters that had almost been destroyed by Ronald Koeman. We had a wonderful generation of young players, but Ronald Koeman squeezed all the talent and sassiness out of them. And now he wants to buy him... Koeman: go f**k yourself and buy Charisteas again.
