30 Sep 2007: Ajax - VVV-Venlo
Next league game, after tomorrow's cup game against Kozakken Boys: VVV-Venlo at home.
Should normally be the start of a nice little string of wins, this one...

Hope we will not embarass ourselves and we will clinch a 3-0
win, in soveirgn style. It will be an enormous blunder if we lose points here
and we the crisis that was threatening to loom will come, and our eredivisie
campaign will also start going downhill and - it will be a failed season - a complete failiure - we cant afford it - plain simple.

This could be a very good weekend for us: NAC Breda vs PSV and Feyenoord vs Heerenveen (both on Saturday evening).
Heerenveen have been disappointing so far, and the game is in Rotterdam, but they won't roll over and it looks like they will play Alves...
NAC Breda away; that's a tough one, plain simple. They're doing quite well. They've been hard to beat in recent weeks and they can be good at home.
I have a feeling that Feyenoord or PSV will drop points tomorrow evening, which would enable us to do good business on Sunday.

Thijs just posted in the Dutch Zone that Colin, Delorge and (no shit) Manucharyan have been declared fit.philippe schreef:Still unavailable : Jaap Stam, Thomas Vermaelen, Edgar Davids, Leonardo, Kennedy Bakircioglu, Jurgen Colin, Laurent Delorge, Nicolae Mitea and Edgar Manucharyan.

The amount of injured players....Its gonna be a long season if this continues. By the way, I don't think having Colin available is much of a boost, now Ten Cate will be tempted to put him in the starting line-up. Much rather se Van der Wiel getting the nodge any time.
We are Cruyff; We are Van Basten; We are Bergkamp. WE ARE AJAX!!
He was on the bench wednesday so I guess he still is.andy schreef:By the way, what about Schilder??? is he available??
As for Ajax Netwerk, I don't trust them on this case as I think they just took the list of injured players that popped up everywhere on the web yesterday. Colin seemed to be fit on Ajax.nl for example.

From Sportinglife:Kowalczyk schreef:What Thijs posted was, apparently, bollocks.
According to Ajax Netwerk we'll be without the following ten players: Jaap Stam, Thomas Vermaelen, Edgar Davids, Leonardo, Kennedy Bakircioglü, Jurgen Colin, Laurent Delorge, Nicolae Mitea and Edgar Manucharyan.

Edgar Davids (broken leg), Leonardo (knee), Nicolae Mitea (ankle), Kennedy Bakircioglu (stomach), Jaap Stam (knee) and and Thomas Vermaelen (ankle) are all out for Ajax.

It's half time and 4-1 now.
The game is a little like a practise game though tbh - Ajax possession is well over 60%.
I have a new favourite other Eredivisie kit though after Willem II away from last year - I like the VVV kit - not seen Yellow and Silver before and it works really well....
