Is it just me -- or did that referee let AZ get away with the same stuff that he was constantly whistling against Ajax for?

Couldnt watch it but sounded like a decent performance.

Our mate Steks is a friggin' hero.

He saved another penno, had two or three brilliant saves and his long kick was the assist for the third goal. He really is having the best period of his career. Good for him; good for us.

And you can see how much it has improved his confidence. He now goes for the high balls and corners. He's finally in command of his area. Nice one. Two penno saves in nine days' time. That's not too bad.

Hey I saw the game at the de hems...and what a game...drama, excitment, cards, off the field antics not to mention goals. It was brilliant the best so far this season

It had entertainment value but lacked quality.

Great game. Was worried about the defense, and lack of offense in the first half. Pulled it out though, and on the road.

And yeah, Steklenberg is playing great.

Good game, fair result. You can tell Ajax is still looking for a way to play without Sneijder. The good news is that KJH and Suarez seem to have great chemistry already. Suarez was MOTM for me, followed by Steks and Heitinga.

All in all, the game lacked quality, but who cares? We got three points in Alkmaar, the first time any team has done that in 11 months. Poetic justice, considering the highway-robbery that took place there last year.

Great result !! Maybe not the highest marks in terms of quality , but JUST WIN BABY!!! Thanks Stek for saving our a** again and again. I think we're top again , maybe by a goal in gd .

Nice also to see the Kakkerlakken get smoked.
