Pissed of at not being able to see the game. Fucking English Premier League arranged with the Chinese senders to block access by UK residents to TVants sport channels(only streaming software showing the game) ...... BASTARDS!!!!!!!
Rant over
.... another two goals for Suarez
and a goal for schilder
ps: the 1:8 at de Graafschap looks a deal more impressive given the latest scoreline from Groningen .... 0:2 for de Graafschap

Not that it helps -- but TVAnts was showing something else instead of the match. In my experience, Myp2p is totally unreliable when it comes to Ajax streams -- 9 times out of 10 what they have up there doesn't work. Don't know how they decide on where the streams are -- but when it comes to Ajax, consider yourself lucky if what they have pans out. Shrug your shoulders and grit your teeth when (as per usual) it doesn't.dws schreef:Pissed of at not being able to see the game. Ach, I'll just have to be satisfied with Ultrasuid highlights.

In the Dutch forums I read that they played decently for the first part of the first half, Stam committed a major blunder to allow the goal, and played well again in the first part of the second half.
Suarez's second goal was apparently beautiful.
Maduro was subbed with a light concussion.
Gabri may need an operation on his meniscus and could be out 3 months.

This result sure beats the results in the corresponding fixture of the last couple of years. +10 GD over two matches. Not too shabby .
I like the contributions from Schilder and Vermaelen. Schilder didn't bury his head after last week . Vermaelen scored off a free kick according to Ajax.nl .
Other highlights were Kennedy's three assists and a "wereldgoal " , Ajax.nl's description , by Suarez . Kennedy corner and Suarez volley , actually. I'll have to see that highlight.
Also glad Kennedy and Suarez were subbed fairly early. Not a bad side when Rommedahl and Urzaiz are the players subbed in.

Just returned from the ArenA.
Very good win, this. Ajax opened very convincingly: the first 25/30 minutes were good, with Maduro hitting the post and Ajax creating several opportunities. A goal was in the air... but Heerenveen scored. They converted their very first chance of the game, after one of Jaap Stam's very rare mistakes.
Ajax lost the plot a bit after Heerenveen's goal. Just when everybody had come to terms with the fact that we were going to be a goal down at half-time, there were two Ajax goals from set pieces: Suárez and a very good, powerful header from Vermaelen. On both occasions the cross in came from Kennedy, who was - to me - Ajax's second best on the day (after John Heitinga). Here's one thing he's better at than Wesley Sneijder: his corners and free-kicks are very good.
The second half was the same story as the first: very good Ajax football in the first half hour. It was nice to see Robbert Schilder come on, play well and score. His goal was very well taken: a fine, well-aimed shot from outside of the box. Suárez's second of the day was a real stunner: corner kick from Kennedy which flew over everybody's heads, the ball landing softly on Suárez's upper leg and BANG: superb volley, diagonally into the far corner.
This was on the hour mark and Heerenveen seemed ready for the slaughter. But hey: we have an important job to do on Wednesday, so Ten Cate took a few players off and Ajax shifted back to a lower gear. The latter 20 minutes were dull, but who cares. This was one convincing win. Very well done. Total control apart from the 10 minutes after Heerenveen had scored.
My 'Men of the Match':
1. Heitinga
2. Kennedy
3. Suárez

The curse of my shirt strikes again.......Good result anyway, I was out for all of this one and will save myself for Setanta highlights on Wednesday night (I really don't like watching on the mini-screen on my PC).aveslacker schreef:

I didn't bother with PSV/NEC last night. They weren't showing it live and when I sneaked a look at the score it was 5-0 to PSV which deflated it a bit for me. No Eredivisie games shown next week but the highlights show seems a regular Wednesday night fixture again this season.
I'm moving house so just hope I can get Setanta installed again without missing too much....
Forza Haarlem. HFC Gone but not forgotten!
Well missed the game co of stupid ManU match. That was so pathetic. And the rest I missed following the Barca match. (Wasn't shown on TV) It's kinda ironic/sad though that I'm getting the match on TV and not being able to watch it while you guys have to live with crappy streams. Will catch the game tomorrow when it's repeated. Good results Ajax are getting. Not the line up that was expected no? Not even the subs. I guess they were resting more important players?
Go kill Slavia now!!

Match Report
Yep...philippe schreef:The really bad news is that Maduro was injuried and will not be fit for the Prague game. It seems that Gabri is injuried, so we will have a serious midfield problem.
More about that in the match report, which is now up on Ajax USA:
