Feyenoord officially don't want Perez anymore.Ayman schreef:I think they will be stronger next season, I mean if Makaay and then Perez sign for them, then we should take them bit more seriously. The only team in eredivisie who seems abit in decline is PSV. The eredivisie should be contested by Ajax and AZ with Feyenoord as outsiders.

They have landed Makaay.
As remarkable as their new signings may be (they really are), I don't think there is reason for us to worry. I mean: Gio ain't no Edgar Davids, Kevin Hofland sure as hell ain't no Jaap Stam, Tim de Cler ain't no Urby and Roy Makaay is no longer as good as KJH.
But Feyenoord surely will be a better side than they have been in the two previous seasons, that's a sure thing.

I think that these signings are fantastic.
Why?
Well the theory goes like this....... their wonderful fans will be getting really excited and planning for a great year when they make a clean sweep of all trophies. When this doesn't happen (as sure as day follows night) they will yet again feel incredibly deflated and again just go on about they have the best fans, how lucky Ajax are and a 1000 other excuses that they normally troop out at the end of each season. And this annual process just makes me a happy person. So thankyou in advance Feyenoord.

Well, I'm not sure about the Makaay v KJH debate, difficult to compare, one on the way up and one on the way down and they've not really been playing in comparable leagues. I think Makaay could do well in the Eredivisie though and realistically I suppose they'll have him for about as long as we'll have KJH (though Pierre tells me that they do seem to like old over-the-hill strikersKowalczyk schreef:and Roy Makaay is no longer as good as KJH.

I also agree with OPH's points though

Feyenoord have added Turkish international Nuri Sahin to their squad. The 18-year-old joins the Rotterdammers on a season-long loan from Borussia Dortmund, where coach Bert van Marwijk worked with the youngster until just before Christmas last year. The left-footed midfielder made his Bundesliga debut at just 16, making him the youngest player ever to appear in the highest tier of German football. He’s also the youngest player to score in the Bundesliga. He has the same two records with the Turkish national team. He now has eight full caps to his name.

Caught the beginning and end of the Fword v. Chelski game last night. I realise it was only a friendly, Chelski didn't play all their best players and all that, I must say Fword looked quite good.
Bert van Marwijk has always been a decent coach in my eyes and the new players looked comfortable under his leadership.
Theo "duckface" Lucius made a terrible error to allow the equaliser, and Makaay's missed penalty was poor.... but overall I caution us against taking this side too lightly....

According to Sky Sports News Real Mdrid have just signed Royston Drenthe from Feyenerd. I'm actually quite surprised by that as wasn't that impressed with what I've seen of him (recently mainly the two games against Ajax last season).
Same source says that Robben has gone from Chelsea too.

He has potential no doubt but F-word did a good deal IMHO.

Things like this make me think ¿where the hell are our scouts ? do we have to depend on other teams finding good players and then plunder them....ZoefdeHaas schreef:Groningen replace Suarez with markus Berg (about 4 m euros) from sweden.

Took a late goal to break Heracles .... seems like the usual unconvincing 'get out of jail' shit from PSV.ZoefdeHaas schreef:PSV managed to ease through against Heracles...bastards.
