This is from the UEFA site, 3 weeks ago:Cmon1983 schreef:Anyway, why I'm writing to this topic... anybody heard the rumours that Ajax want to sign hungarian midfielder Balázs Dzsudzsák from Debrecen. It's in main headline on the most famous hungarian football website . (www.nb1.hu) , so I'm curious if it's true or not?!
And this is from the Debrecen site:Dzsudzsák's form has seen him come to the attention of scouts from all over Europe, with the player revealing he had been watched by representatives of Dutch giants AFC Ajax and Belgium's RSC Anderlecht. Debrecen will hope that Europe's best can get a closer look at all of their players should they battle their way to the UEFA Champions League group stage in 2007/08.

Apparently the player has been mentioning Ajax since April. Haven't read a thing about the guy in Dutch media so my guess is that he's using the name Ajax to get attention focussed on him from, perhaps, an English club. That's where the money is. Sound likely to you?Balázs Dzsudzsák is in the focus of Italian and English teams

The still 20-year-old player has an effective contract with DVSC-TEVA, and therefore the club can decide on Balázs Dzsudzsák’s career.
One of the key players of DVSC marching towards the championship, Balázs Dzsudzsák shows topping performance week by week, and therefore it is more and more frequently aired that he will not charge the goals of the opponents in Debrecen from the summer. The player has confirmed that his name has been listed at the Dutch Ajax and the Belgian Anderlecht, yet recently observers have visited our matches from England and Italy, as well.

Barcelona in partnership talks with Ajax
Barcelona are in talks with Ajax over a partnership agreement.
Negotiations have progressed positively, says El Mundo Deportivo, though no final decision will be made until the end of the Spanish Liga season.
The deal would see Barca exchange coaching staff, players and medical services with Ajax and would see their brightest young players loaned to the Dutch club to gain senior experience.
Bojan Krkic, Giovani dos Santos and Marco Crosas could all start next season in an Ajax shirt. The Dutch club's football chief, Martin van Geel, has also expressed interest in senior players Santi Ezquerro and Thiago Motta.
Frankly , I don't see much difference between this and the current situation. Either way, the best talent developed and/or seasoned at Ajax is lured away in their early to mid twenties. The Barca deal would just be the latest manifestation of the " What Ajax makes , the world takes" idea .

interesting partnership, i think its a good idea :hupajax.gif: i would not mind having Dos Santos at Ajax and with that sort of deal players that have had bad luck ( gabri, maxi lopez) at the team could come to ajax
it seem we will only get leftover from barca but if we search well among their thrash we can still find some jewels, gabri is a perfect example of that.
Plus i will always prefer our players to leave to a team that has always had a dutch tradition with mr Johanes Cruyff leading the way. plus this team has dignity not like the fucking italians...

Nonsense.
If you want Ajax to become a Dutch club you can have that, but then you must accept that Ajax will be at best a middle-ranking European organziation, which makes only the occaisional appearence in the early rounds of European football.
If however you are ambitious, you have to throw off the shackles of this 20th Century thinking. Ajax is not a Dutch club, it is an international club.

Only in the sense that it has international fans and players. But it's based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and the majority of its fans are Dutch so in the most part it's a Dutch club. I don't care if a Spaniard, Brazilian, Serb or Japanese plays for Ajax, I as a Dutch fan, wouldn't want it to be completley foreign as it wouldn't represent me, that's all. No talk of not being ambitious or intolerant or whatever. I embrace every foreign fan and player, simply because he's Ajax. I simply don't want my heritage connection with the club to be gone. The Purple Cow schreef: Ajax is not a Dutch club, it is an international club.

I can assure you that ajax wont become the inter milan of the netherlands, you said it yourself it`s a heritage thing, and the roots run deep in the tradition of what ajax is, that is something i believe will never be lost... plus we have always depended on our youth system....as long as the sneijder's, babel's, and van der vaart's keep coming ajax will always have a dutch core.ZoefdeHaas schreef:Only in the sense that it has international fans and players. As an Englishman I think the most important thing about Ajax is its Dutch roots. Having a youth system full of young Dutch must remain the number 1 thing at Ajax.
I do not want us to become Barcas feeder club and doubt this ever will happen. Getting an odd player from them like Gabri is fine but I do not want us to start taking on a lot of their youth which will be of no benefit to us.

Well, that's why i didn't believe our source (nb1.hu) , because i never heard that Ajax was interested in him... I knew , that Ajax wanted to sign Krisztián Németh from MTK , but he signed for Liverpool 2 weeks ago :(
But I believe Dzsudzsák has the qualities to become a great player, he has voted player of the season in Hungary this year, and he is very good on the left side (midfielder, not the typical Ajax - winger type)... Anyway, we'll see what happens, would be good to see a hungarian player in the Ajax squad:)
Thank you all for the welcome :) Finally good to write here after reading thousands of pages :)))
Greetings

aha! but amsterdam is a very international city, and much of the netherlands despises us, so i am not so sure that a big majority of AJACIEDEN are 100% true blood dutch
more and more, i am seeing young amsterdam expats heading out to the ArenA and wearing AJAX shirts on the street... i believe this is a good thing for the club, so why would it hurt on the field? its not like it will suddenly become a 4% dutch team
and yeah... having dos santos here would ROCK!

Well, kinda re-posting from me.. but today i read again, that We (Ajax) want to sign Dzsudzsák , it's in hungarian football news, and they wrote that Ajax is on keen to sign him .. still nobody heard about this on any football source from the Netherlands???? And i do think that he want to sign for us, he does not mention any other clubs name...
I'm not sure he wil be a big help for us at the moment, but I'm sure, that Ajax will be a big help for him :) This guy has potential!

I would like to see an agreement with Ajax loaning out players to Toronto FC of the MLS. I know that Ajax were looking for an MLS partner franchise. I was going to suggest it to John Jakke when we were drinking beer at the same table together a while ago.Van basten schreef:Barcelona in partnership talks with Ajax

A partnership with a "bigger club" is not very beneficial for Ajax except for getting the next Messi for a few months. Barca are a good team but good teams make great highlight reels. Great teams like Ajax make history!

Yup, he's been "really coming" every summer his contact with someone else runs out and he's looking for an extension or another club.K.J. Huntelaar schreef:Is Kanu really coming?
Bergkamp was also "really coming" lots of times, but always signed extensions with the Arse.
