Arsenal are being mentioned again with Babel although the paper where this came from have meerly picked up on a transfer clause of £6m in Babel's contract.
As I said back in January when his story first came up not sure whether he would get much playing time as they have about 4/5 strikers already. They keep stating left winger which of course he is not.
If Arsenal want him then I think we should sell him as he obviously wants to go abroad sooner rather than later.
If KJH were sold this summer I am not convinced that Babel would be our main striker.!!!
PS I will never fathom out transfer values as Babel is quoted at 9m euros but Ajax want 12m euros for Sneijder!!!

Grygera and Roger are leaving.
Others should play elsewhere next season : Lindenbergh, Mitea, de Mul and Perez.
Why Perez and Mitea, and who will replace them ?
The word is that Ten Cate thinks Mitea is not good enough. Well, I remember him from previous seasons, and I wonder what has gone wrong ...

Looks like Sir Alex is on the prowl again for Huntelaar. Interesting mention of maybe United going for Alves if Ajax doesn't want to sell..

Mitea appears never to have recovered from his knee injury (or perhaps never had the chance to recover). Plus, we have some depth at winger, assuming Leonardo gets healthy again.philippe schreef:Grygera and Roger are leaving.

I know you don't like Perez, but he is a great player and should stay imo to provide cover once Sneijder leaves (although I read on another message board that HtC thinks Sneijder will stay another season).

And HtC also said that anyway, Perez was not his replacement as "he is a forward, not a midfielder."aveslacker schreef: I know you don't like Perez, but he is a great player and should stay imo to provide cover once Sneijder leaves (although I read on another message board that HtC thinks Sneijder will stay another season).

Injuries seem to have taken their toll on Mitea. He had a lot of promise a couple of years ago.
Sorry to see HTC does not want Perez.A very useful player who has scored some vital goals.
Valencia appear to have bid 12 m euros for Sneijder and wont increase to the min 15 m we want. Van Geel is a firm man and I am sure that we will not give in to selling on the cheap.

as a matter of fact, I don't like Perez as a person, but he is a very good player; anyways, his leaving is not my wish but an information in the Dutch pressaveslacker schreef:

The Mitea move I can understand. He simply has not been able to either break into the first 11 or to stay healthy long enough to break into the first 11. I wish him well. I found him to be a genuinely nice guy on the 3 occasions I talked to him.
Perez would not be someone I'd want to see go. I like his offensive skills. Not cover for Sneijder , but a nice, creative weapon to torment opponents. The only positive is that Ajax will have to bring in a player of his quality. I only hope he doesn't latch on at Eindhoven or go back to AZ.

Message to HtC , bury the hatchet with Perez. Football is an emotional game. They wouldn't be the first manager and player to have strained relations, yet be able to coexist because they both want the same thing...trophies.

Ajax have twice rejected offers from Valencia for midfielder Wesley Sneijder but the Holland international is still hopeful of leaving the club.
"Officially, I have heard nothing about it yet, but the last words have yet to be spoken about this," Sneijder said.
"The only way to break with Ajax is by kicking up a riot. But that's not who I am."
Sneijder is under contract at Ajax until June 2009 and technical director Martin van Geel said on Sunday the club wants to keep him in Amsterdam.
But Sneijder appears determined to move on.
He added: "This is the moment for a transfer.
"I have been playing in the first team at Ajax for five years. And Ajax doesn't want to let me walk out for free in two years' time?"

I can't seem to get away from Ajax.
Kenneth Perez's Ajax career looks to be over after just one season in Amsterdam.
Ajax shelled out some £4.5million (£3million) to lure the Danish forward away from AZ Alkmaar last summer, but he failed to make an impression on coach Henk ten Cate.
Perez claims he has been informed his chances of securing a regular start are limited and will be allowed to move on this summer.
"The coach has told me I don't fit in with his football vision," Perez told Algemeen Dagblad. "He has also told the media that he is looking for another type of player, so it will be hard to get in the team.
"I am therefore ready to leave. I say this with a heavy heart, but I don't see any other option."
PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord have been linked with the Dane and he has a desire to remain in Holland.
"I will now think about my future," he added. "I don't want to say anything about clubs.
"My agent will tell me what is happening, but my wife and I want to stay in the Netherlands."
