Newspaper De Telegraaf has the Delorge rumour as well today. He had a contract at ADO Den Haag until 2009, but there was a special clause in his deal guaranteeing him a free transfer in case of relegation. He was, reportedly, at the VU Hospital in Amsterdam this morning for his medical and will sign a contract for two seasons.
I've never paid special attention to Laurent Delorge, so I don't have any thoughts about him. He's 27, he played for Coventry for five seasons and also spent a season at Anderlecht. No idea what the conclusion should be, but the fact that he's 27 means that he is pretty much a 'finished product'. It will be hard to make him a better player, which means that the player he is now has to be pretty bloody good... and I have my thoughts about that.
Are we signing this guy up only because we can get him for free? Something tells me he will only be an extra name on the payrole, but hey: maybe I'm just moaning. I totally trust Martin van Geel, so I reckon he knows what he's doing...

Still alive...
If they do sign him , there better be a morals clause in his contract. Match influencing, I talking about by other than doing your damnest to help your side , sounds serious to me. I agree that this guy sounds a lower budget replacement for Roger or Lindenbergh ; with the added bonus of not being foreign to the score sheet.

Ah, well that changes things a bit. I can take off my union rep hat now. But how come they didn't get a ban from FIFA then? Peter Swann and co went to prison in the 60's after the Sheffield Wednesday match-fixing scandal as well as initial life bans so what happened to make this guy so different??Manneken Pis schreef:Frankly, corruption scandals are very frequent here. I quote the most relevant bit:
In addition, two ex-Lierse players, Marius Mitu and Laurent Delorge, were let go by current club Anderlecht after admitting to investigators that they influenced the outcome of matches while playing for Lierse last season.
“During discussions this morning, the players admitted to me that they had been involved in this match-fixing at Lierse," Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck said. "We have no confidence in these players and have decided now to terminate their contracts with immediate effect.”
Seems pretty clear if you ask me....

looks like we are very interested in Mbark Boussoufa. Anderlecht wants 5m euro for him. i don't know much about him, just that he's from our youth academy and that in 2005/2006 season playing for Gent, he won Belgian Footballer of the Year, Belgian Young Footballer of the Year and Belgian Ebony Shoe

Boussoufa is a nice player, but probably not worth the money he'd cost and more importantly: he's definately not a replacement for Sneijder. If Ajax is going to buy a player from a Belgium club, Ajax should get Defour from Standard. Doesn't score as many goals as Sneijder, but does other very important things for the team and actually has the talent to be very big in the (near) future.
Nope, about the 5 million. I made the story about very interested (I said that we had an agreement with Boussoufa via a fake website and all the rumour sites copied it) , I spreaded that rumour around. The real price is more likely to be above the 7 million euro's and Ajax haven't talked with Boussoufa and/or Anderlecht. Jup, that is possible. Many sites copied it without checking the fake source I named (Belgian SportWereld, I just took them, they didn't had any article about Boussoufa going to Ajax but many sites just copied my fake article), and ajaxlive is one of them.Van basten schreef:I have read this on ajaxlive.nlDaniel_vT schreef:Nope, about the 5 million. Saw on Ajax Netwerk , source listed as the FC Godenzonen program on AT5 , that HtC said Kenneth Perez is not the replacement for Wesley Sneijder because he is more attacker than midfielder. Interesting to see who is the replacement. Bousouffa ? Defour? Engelaar?

Sneijder is still at Ajax, so no reason to speculate ;)Blind3 schreef:Saw on Ajax Netwerk , source listed as the FC Godenzonen program on AT5 , that HtC said Kenneth Perez is not the replacement for Wesley Sneijder because he is more attacker than midfielder. But his replacement will be a different kind of player, simply because there is not 2nd Sneijder around.
Defour is often named as a future Ajacied, but he is more a 'Davids'-type. Boussoufa is too lightweighted. Engelaar.. I don't think so.
There are also no rumours going right now. Normally a few names are dropped if a player exits, but I have not heard a name yet.
Boussoufa was named, but Van Geel denied the interest.
Yesterday in FC Godenzonen, HTC looked pretty confident while saying that Sneijder would stay at Ajax. Valencia made an offer 2 weeks ago and nothing has been heard since...
Hello Everyone!
I'm a bit new here , however , I'm reading this forum since 3 years approx :)
I'm from Hungary , and big fan of the lovely ajax since 1995 :)
Anyway, why I'm writing to this topic... anybody heard the rumours that Ajax want to sign hungarian midfielder Balázs Dzsudzsák from Debrecen. It's in main headline on the most famous hungarian football website . (www.nb1.hu) , so I'm curious if it's true or not?!
Greetings to everyone!
HUP AJAX!!

HUP AJAX!!

If Ajax are interested in Orlando Engelaar , they should be able to get an up to the minute scouting report from Marco The Magnificent. I read that OE was just added to the NT , replacing the injured Danny Koevermans, for a two match Asian tour.
