No real surprises today, although Sparta fought back from two down to draw Heerenveen at Het Kasteel. Twente three-nilled Thugtrecht at home, ADO are three points closer to relegation after 3:1 at Woudenstein , F-word scraped out a nil-one thanks to P-hair, blah...blah..blah.

ADO Den Haag will almost certainly finish bottom and get relegated to the First Division. Their slot in the Eredivisie will be taken by... De Graafschap - and this is official. De Gaarfschap clinched the First Division championship this weekend by beating FC Emmen at home (2-1). For a long time the race for the title was a race between De Graafschap and RBC Roosendaal, but in recent months RBC collapsed completely. De Graafschap clinched it four games before the end and the gap is 14 points.
It's good to have 'em back. Their home ground is of 'Eredivisie caliber', the atmosphere is always great over there and the away game will probably not be a combi for Ajax fans (free travel = better fun).
Six First Division teams will play in the promotion/relegation play-offs. Four of those six teams are already confirmed: RBC Roosendaal, FC Den Bosch, FC Volendam and Go Ahead Eagles. It's a safe bet that VVV-Venlo will also qualify.

Still alive...
I really think it's better for us that PSV book a good result tonight (1-1 or 2-1 would be perfect now that they are losing 0-1...). If they are already "out" tonight they will only focus on Eredivisie.
So come on PSV ! You have to believe in your chance and fight till the end ! :D

i think e result isn't very good for us, coz koeman understands, that this is over and probably in return leg in liverpool they will play with second squad to give some rest for key players.
psv was so fu*king pathetic yesterday, they newer were in the game, and they looked so fu*king tired. after 25 min in first half, cocu looked like he just run marathon :D

You're right about the return-leg at Liverpool, but the 0-3 loss last night must have hurt psv between the ears. psv haven't won a single game for the last weeks. Ajax crushed them, NAC made psv really uncertain and Liverpool crushed psv again. Koeman is looking like he is going to collapse the any minute and Cocu is getting more aggrevated by the minute.Van basten schreef:i think e result isn't very good for us, coz koeman understands, that this is over and probably in return leg in liverpool they will play with second squad to give some rest for key players.

And for now it seems that they're gonna miss Farfan.. there only real goalscorer!

Remember, the clubs had to submit squads for CL games at the beginning of the campaign, so they can't play a full B squad. It is likely that some players will get rested for the Anfield fixture. And I don't think Koeman (my vote for Coach of the Year, by the way :D ) will want to get totally pasted in England on the return leg.Van basten schreef:i think e result isn't very good for us, coz koeman understands, that this is over and probably in return leg in liverpool they will play with second squad to give some rest for key players.

And that's the big dilemma for psv. Are they gonna rest some players for the Eredivisie and get smashed up by Liverpool? I don't really believe in the fatique-thing. Yesterday psv played with a number of players who usually sit on the bench. The real problem of psv is that besides the starting eleven, there's nothing left. When Alex fell away, psv crashed. When Kone fell away, suddenly psv stopped scoring and creating chances.aveslacker schreef:Remember, the clubs had to submit squads for CL games at the beginning of the campaign, so they can't play a full B squad. Yesterday psv played with Feher, Culina and Sun Xiang on midfield. That's just poor quality. With that kind of midfield you don't even scare-off teams like RKC or Excelsior....
