I agree. Excelsior simply don't belong in the Eredivisie. Ridiculously tiny ground, and all of their real supporters actually fit into that ground as well... I wouldn't mind seeing RKC Waalwijk going down, either. They're a respected Eredivisie side, but they're still a little bit... 'nothing' to me.Thomas schreef:I'm still hoping Excelsior will go down. ADO are a bigger club, with more supporters and a bigger stadium. It's better for the Eredivisie if they stay in, in my opinion.
The Hague as a city, and ADO Den Haag as a club, definitely belong in the Eredivisie (as much as I dislike some of their supporters), especially now that they'll be moving into a new stadium that's supposed to be really nice (a Euroborg kind of feel, someone told me).
If we could ditch Excelsior and RKC Waalwijk, and get De Graafschap and Go Ahead Eagles back for them... that would be awesome. Two very atmospheric away games (and Deventer is also a very nice town for a night out).
Or Volendam, of course. I always sympathize with our friends from down the road. Each time they're in the Eredivisie it is my favourite away trip of the year.

If atmospheric is an argument, i'm afraid our club would be candidate for relagation too!
But of course, everyone has their own favorites, so ko's choice and arguments are as good as any. RKC is my second club, so I couldn't care less if ADO goes down. Every year (although this season I don't have a cc for the first time in many years) I allways skip the homegame against ADO, because the attitude of (a part of) their supporters and their violence make me sick.

I think I lost my fucking headache
I note that De Graafschap are top at the moment so you might get your wish Ko! Go Ahead are in the top 10 but I do not know how the playoff system works ie I do not believe it is just 2nd to 7 th who play .
No need to answer that until the end of April.
I cannot believe you would not be rooting for Volendam though??

Have to admit I'm hoping RKC stay up, I always look for their results and stuff, in the same way I used to like the old Wimbledon FC, coming up from non-league football and that. I like their kit too which helps....Kowalczyk schreef:

I had the chance to see the full match and yeah the fucking lightbulbs just had luck on their side. Heracles was very organized and gave up the first goal after a clumsy mistake . In my opinion Heracle`s best player was Robert Schilder .FerryV schreef:Dammit, psv just scores the 0-2 in the 92nd min. According to the commentator Heracles would have deserved a point...
PSV are going to drop more points the are already faltering and will loose some points when they put their heads in the champions league for a while.
BRING IT ON !!!!...

AZ drew with Groningen, with that said I expect Groningen to cause PSV a few problems while WE face AZ.
Ajax will go down the tough road following the dismal draw with Excelsior: games against AZ, Twente, PSV Heerenveen etc. After all those upper-table clashes we will face "shite" teams like RKC.
But after the Excelsior game...I'm not thinking of the title anymore. :X

It's the 'Week of the Sacked Coaches' in the Dutch First Division: five head-coaches axed in five days' time. For the record, the five fucked ones are...
Gerald Vanenburg (Helmond Sport)
Jan van Dijk (FC Emmen)
Roy Wesseling (Cambuur Leeuwarden)
Jurrie Koolhof (MVV)
Rini Coolen (AGOVV Apeldoorn)

Not that it really matters, but there's something funny about this weekend's Eredivisie fixtures. AZ v Feyenoord and FC Twente v Ajax are on the agenda. If the current table would be the final table, those two would be the play-off fixtures.
Feyenoord will lose at AZ, quite obviously, which means that Heerenveen can close in (they play RKC at home). Feyenoord (5th) now have 47 points. Heerenveen (6th) have 41. The gap will be only three points is Feyenoord lose and Heerenveen win this weekend.
Feyenoord can still drop out of the play-offs! Would be pretty bloody hilarious, is what I say...

Nope...but they played sh!t.Blind3 schreef:2 away goals at Newcastle for AZ. Not a total embarassment.
The will really need to pick the game up for the second leg and be careful of the counter.
They'll either win 3-1 scoring the winner in the last 5 minutes to go through, or win 2-1 and go out letting in the Newcastle goal in the last 5 minutes.....that's the way they do things...

I second that.carcajou schreef:Congratulations to PSV. Hope they go far in the competition.
I hate they way they play (Germans in disguise), and they had a fair slice of luck (as always), but they were totally proffesional and rigorous.
I'll swallow my pride, and hopre they go far for the Dutch Uefa ranking.
