i disagree with you - 20 games already played, 14 to go - it isn't mid-way anymore, it's second half of the season already. you right, there's always should be target to go for the first place, and untill it will be theoretic chances to winn the title, i will quietly hope for that miracle, but you have to understand, that not ewerything is in our hands for the moment. all cards are in PSV hands now. we have to fight and try to win each game that had left and hope for a miracle. but i know, that miracles doesn't happen often and at the moment i see practical target - 2 place

Someone wrote it here - and I totally agree - that when you aren't first, it is not very important if you'll be 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, because you'll have to fight in play-offs to qualify to Champions League. So it will be better if PSV will lose every game, and Ajax will win ;) .

That would include the UEFA Cup as well, the "only" trophy we can really look at this season.

Yeah, and it's still a shit trophy.

Seriously: the final is always a fantastic event and it's a nice trophy to win every once in a while, for example last season. But it won't 'save the year' again for me.

Let's have the UEFA Cup instead, is what I say :yes:

PSV wanted to buy Danko Lazovic from Vitesse this summer, but Vitesse told them to f**k off. They won't sell him in January. Would've been a bit odd indeed, as he's only been there for six months. Fair chance PSV will buy him in the summer, though.

Apparently they're going get Luque from Newcastle... I have to admit I am not too pleased about it.

I do think it's time UEFA did something to crack down on these sort of nutters. They're finally doing something (though not enough) to crack down on racist incidents at games and the sort of mindless stupidity I saw on the TV from France needs to be dealt with as well. People say it punishes the ordinary fans which is true but it also punishes the nutters who "follow" the team. Besides, if it hurts the clubs financially then it might persuade them to do more against this type of behaviour (which in a lot of occassions they could but for varoius reasons shy away from).

Anyway, on a more serious note, Carcajou is right, it's Feyenoord :yes: :applaus: :yelclap:

I'm gutted that Feyenoord is out. As much as I hate them, they are a Dutch club, and the more national clubs you have in Europe, more spots.

If this was an italian club, they would stick with the initial punishment of two games played behind closed doors and a fine. Such double standards, I mean the old school lot on this forum will remember Ajax were banned from europe for a year because an idiot threw an iron bar onto the a.vienna goal keeper, while a few years ago an Inter fan threw a flare (which in someways is more dangerous) that nearly blinded Dida, they were kicked out of europe that year, but surely they should have faced further repercussions. Bottom line is, its one rule for one nation and one rule of another. Uefa is inconsistent, and most of all COLLECTIVE PUNISHMENT never works and never has done and never will.
