No 'Rendezvous in Amsterdam 2007'

Alas, due to personal budget constraints and general work-overload, there will be no Ajax USA "Rendezvous in Amsterdam" this season. We will break our string of consecutive Rendezvous trips at six; we've had trips each year from 2001 thru 2006, but sadly the 7th trip won't happen until '08.

My apologies to all the AUSA veterans who were looking forward to this year's trip. You should still go, see some games, and party it up and then tell us all about it, rub some salt in my wounds.

I put off going last year - telling myself that I would go this year for sure. Nothing's for sure, I guess. Ah well, "Wait til next year." (As an old Brooklyn Dodgers fan, I have a lot of practice with that expression.)

Well, if you can make it for the Werder home game, I'll join you on that (pub) tour. Pitty this, but needs must and I'm sure we can all have a whale of a time next year instead.

Yep. Its only a few days away from the 1 year anniversary of last years trip.

Imagine the excitement if we were there for the last few games this year.

LOL. I love the slight "crap, I hope I don't fall into this canal" look on my face... Ah, what a great time we had. Missing this year will just make the next one all the more special :xyxthumbs:

I'll be in Amsterdam for the Halve-Finale on the 18th and the Sparta match on the 22nd. Nowhere near as amazing as a Rendezvous holiday, but still hoping to enjoy some of the magic .
