Now this is a difficult scenario, we want Huntelaar to play well for the national team, but the more goals he scores, the more likely he may be sold next season. It's a difficult scenario whether to enjoy his success or not.

But as long as he is an Ajax player, let the goals roll in :cheer:

My guess is he will stay at Ajax for 2 more years. Not until after Euro 2008 he should be in line for a transfer. :eusa_pray:

He's only 23 , if the various net sites are right , so there's plenty oif time to move abroad. I agree with the 2 more years school of thought . Moving at 25 or 26 when he's just approaching his prime .The frenzy should be worse then a bunch of sharks chasing chum.

Good thing he has played in Europe as he cannot play in Europe for anyone else. I will be delighted if he plays for us for 2 years he seems a natural goalscoring machine.

The really big teams like Chelsea Milan Barca will want to see what he does over a season for Ajax including CL as scoring goals v Ireland is not that demanding.

Chelski might not be that keen as they purchased the last goalscoring machine from the Eredivisie in Kezman and look how he flopped in the EPL.

It looks like Chelski need defenders at the moment. Having just signed Sheva and Ballsack for the offence,it looks like left back is their short term focus. Gallas is whining .Carvalho and Ferreira are decent at other backline positions. But are the latter two top class? I just think it's great to see Roman splash cash and Chelski not re-coup the original buy price when they sell some of their players.

Still the boring English press are at it. The same paper The People still insist that Pompey are going to buy him and Newcastle are interested.

I do not like to wish the summer away but will be pleased when Sept 1st arrives and we can stop reading this ridiculus tripe.

I couldn't agree more. I just pray that this Ajax Board learned from the Zlatan sale and won't strive to repeat that sorry moment in club history.Besides KJH can do much better than Newcastle or Portsmouth.

When he first arrived last season,Klaas didn't score for a couple early games while Rosenberg did (who isn't now either) then bangs 10+.

To be fair, he was getting totally ass-raped (with NO lubricant) every time he got near the ball yesterday.

It wasn't that long ago that he was bagging a brace against Ireland.

Personally, I think he needs to get a little meaner, and when a defender starts hacking him, he should start throwing elbows, a la Zlatan.

Defending one's anal virginity is a very serious matter, he should defend himself any way he can  a little elbow here and there should send a nice message to the defenders.

Yeah, he will have to become a little 'smarter' (which in practice means: meaner) now that every club in Holland puts two defenders on him. Penders and Zwaanswijk were pulling his shirt and holding him with two arms almost every time the ball was anywhere near. The ref should have pulled out the yellow card much earlier for that. Jaap Stam did get an early booking. Why Penders and Zwaanswijk didn't get one...? Mr Jan Wegereef is probably the only person in the world who understands. To me, it is a complete mystery.

I just wonder if the referee has now got the complete set (of bookings) now that Stam is in his collection.

Seriously, I watched the whole game yesterday on Setanta and I totally agree, P & Z should have been booked a lot earlier than they were.

I don't really understand the leniancy either, they deserved the benefit of the doubt maybe once or twice but they just kept doing more and more of the same until things got so blatent and outrageous that they had to be booked.

Oh well, three points in the bag for us.

I just hope we get through against Start now. Apart from the obvious reasons, I really wanted to come over for this one but now I can't because of work :nooo: so I'm hoping to make the next round instead.

So... Steef claims that KJH is a dirtbag, who regularly commits dirty fouls but gets away with crimes other strikers don't get away with, because the whole country thinks he is the "angel" of Dutch football.

What do you reckon?

Does Steef have a point, or is he just another paranoid 'cockroach' believing in pro-Ajax and anti-Feyenoord conspiracies?

Have your say! :D

Oh yeah, another thing...

Last season we had KJH in FC Godenzonen, the Ajax talkshow on AT5 TV, which I regularly appear in as a 'house analyst' or 'Ajax watcher' or whatever you wanna call it. The KJH show was a real nice one. After the show I gave him a signed copy of Vak 127, my 'supporters novel', as a thank-you-gift for all his goals. I wrote on the first page: 'We're happy to have you here. Please stay with us for a long time!' He really appreciated that: KJH is a reader. He reads loads of football books (he asked for recommendations and wrote some titles down that he wanted to buy). He was also totally impressed with the fact that I go to every away game and that I am actually not just a TV guy, but also a real supporter.

Okay, so last week I was in Norway for IK Start vs Ajax. There were only some 180 Ajax supporters there. After the game all the players walk towards the away section for a 'salute to the diehards'. Jaap Stam takes the initiative by taking off his shirt and throwing it into the away end. The rest of the players do it as well. Then, KJH spots me, starts to smile and throws his shirt straight into my hands from close range. "Thanks for the book!"

Yay!

So I have it at home: Huntelaar match shirt ('European' version, so with the three Adidas stripes), number 9, UEFA Cup badge on one sleeve and the blue '4 Champions Cups' badge on the other.

I kid you not.

F*ckin' A.
