Cedric_AeF schreef:Well, I won't be the one who wants to make a website about FC Utrecht :pukey: , but I use their logo when Ajax play them, as does Ajax USA. And there is no way I will stop...
I think that you won't have a lot to say if that kind of organisations come to dutch football... Football DataCo Ltd have enough force to lock the websites and they do it. You can have a trial when you don't want to close your website or delete forbidden files...

Ok, I understand copyright law, but it's stupid that true football fans can be pusnish for what they do. The clubs should be proud of the fact that they have fans which spend their time for making the website and - probably - giving them a lot of new fans, which can buy the team shirts or ticket for a game. Besides, is it really a crime when you put the club logo on your website or when you write what the next game is? Why the clubs punish fans, not the people which have big money for using the club logos etc.? I mean imitations of club shirts, pirate CD's etc. And are the chants on the stadium allowed or not? I hope that Ajax won't do the same and we won't have to write anything instead of the club's name.

This type of gesture is a shame too football, but the main problem seems to be in the premier league (or the whole English football Asociation). They try to get money in whatever way they can. Somebody who i dont remember said a while ago on these threads that and I quote " English football could all be resumed in one word...Greed." It's sad but it's the truth. And whats even worse, it seems to be spreading to the whole Fifa ranks. If i am not mistaken Fifa did not allow websites to publish pictures or videos from the games on teh internet, unless of course you paid for it. It really make's no sense whatsoever to me, i mean most (if not all) the unoficial websites are non-lucrative websites that simply share the passion for club, if they were getting paid to maintain the website, that would be a diferent story, but this is just plain ridiculous :pukey: .
BRING IT ON !!!!...

F*^king Money Grabbers. What ever happened to "fair use" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

If you make zero $ than it shouldn't make diddlysquat if you display a logo. Give me a break. These sites are doing it because they love their club or league etc. In a way, they are advertising for the club, its us that should be getting paid.

I could understand if you used the logo in an offensive way - although with FC Utrecht we would be tempted ;), but if all you are doing is the same way that Ajax USA do it, then imo thats fine. But then I am for the small man and imo these money grabbers should pull their heads in, back off and do something useful with their day.

Man this rubbish gets my goat up. Soon you wont even be able to type the word "arsenal" or "ajax" without having to pay someone. Great now I am angry...I need to calm down :aai:

It's really sad that the clubs fight with their fans  . It's possible that in a few years we'll have to put our websites on chinese servers, won't show our e-mail addresses and work in conspiracy as the terrorists or public enemies. Every normal club will be proud that they have fans all around the world, but - as you see - clubs from England are not. They want to have monopoly for informations about the club, but what do they want to do with fans abroad, which don't understand english, spanish, dutch, polish etc.?

I hope it won't ever happen that the football clubs won't be for supporters, but for the rich men which can pay big money for everything X'C . WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!!!!!

You lot, I know this is irrelavent. I was in my Ajax jersey today, there are feyenoord fans in London, I could have been beaten up, I was lucky, I was in the train as it was moving, they spotted me, they were on the platform, they started shouting at me saying 'Rotterdam Hooligan, Rotterdam Hooligan'. Shit man it was close

If Reading is close to London that could be the explanation. Feyenoord played Reading in England today and lost 2-1.

Reading is only half an hour on the train from London.

This story reminds me a few years ago i wore my Ajax shirt in Brugge and fortunately I was cycling but I did get a few fists shown by our Belgium friends,
(sorry Flemish friends.) I wont do that again.

I was in Giant's Stadium,East Rutherford ,New Jersey, last night for a friendly between New York-New Jersey Red Bulls and Barcelona . I was wearing an Ajax top and caught stick ( "Hey asshole, Ajax isn't playing" and " did you forget where Amsterdam is" ? ) from one or two guys in Barca shirts. I basically told them to go learn their history; meaning history of the player and coach links between the clubs. Several Barca fans around me understood what I was saying. We had a pleasant discussion.

I feel I got away lucky. I watch people in Real shirts take stick and a few pushes and punches. 79,000 people plus beer availability = possible problems I guess .

Barca, with Saviola and Thuram and Zambrotta and Gudjohnsen(sp?) on display in addition to Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Messi,etc..., the rich get richer, won 4:1 . They were fun to watch I must admit. Except for Mark Verdommel and Gio Kakkerlak van Bratwurst . Verdommel was in midseason form, fouling and falling over when the wind blew in his direction .

Such a shame this.....

from bbc.co.uk

"Juventus relegation appeal fails

Juventus have failed in their attempts to gain readmission to Italy's Serie A.

Juve were relegated for their role in the match-fixing scandal that rocked Italy and were docked 30 points, which has since been reduced to 17.

The club's appeal was held at the Italian Olympic Committee's arbitration court (CONI), but Italy's football federation refused to back down.

Juve, who were stripped of their last two titles, said it would consider its plans in a board meeting on Monday.

They finished the 2005/06 campaign as "champions" but were soon embroiled in one of the biggest scandals to hit Italian football.

Along with Lazio, Fiorentina and AC Milan, Juve were accused of attempting to exert influence over referees.

Lazio and Fiorentina were also initially relegated before being re-instated to Serie A with points deductions of 19 and 11 respectively and have, like Juve, been banned from European competition.

AC Milan start the new campaign in the top flight with an eight-point penalty, while Reggina have since been implicated and docked 15 points.

Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobilli Gigli had said the Turin club expected the same punishment as the other clubs.

CONI's conciliation court brought together Juve directors and the Italian Football Federation to seek an agreement regarding the club's appeal, but a Juve statement said the meeting had "not resulted in any conciliation".

"We will examine all of our options calmly, convinced as we are, in our search for a more fair punishment," said Cobolli Gigli.

He added they could potentially take the case to another Olympic Committee department or go outside sports justice to a civil court or even to the European Court of Justice.

Their demotion to Serie B has led to a number of their top players leaving and their fourth-quarter revenues slumped by almost £15.7m to £27.5m.

The other three clubs and several individuals who were punished by the tribunal are also taking their cases to CONI in the coming weeks."

It looks like he will be a back up player, I highly doubt he will play most games.

Chelsea are still looking for a left back, and the Ashley Cole saga is still not finished.
