Tough break for the Poles. It was an exciting match, it is too bad that your boys couldn't hold on. You have my sympathies.
Ayman: there is no need to put people down like that. Let's try to keep it positive. I may not be in your situation, but I personally admire the Poles, and I've met several very nice ones in my travels. Plus the Poles in this forum seem to be good people.
You may not like them, and I respect that as your opinion, but you don't need to be uncivil about it.
It is usually not a good idea to lump an entire nation of people under the category of "scum."
Even the Germans. :D

It was a joke. I went back and added an emoticon just to make sure there was no doubt.Ayman schreef:Aveslacker said:

Would you like to add something about "polish" gas chambers in Auschwitz? No comments...Ayman schreef:Hurray!!!!! :cheer: Now the scummers can crawl back to their ghettos in eastern europe.
As for the game - we've lost it and we're probably out of World Cup. I wrote "probably", because there is still a chance for advance, but I think it will be a miracle. It is theoreticly possible that Costa Rica beat 1-0 Ecuador, Ecuador lose against Germany and Poland win 4-0 against Costa Rica... Wishfull thinking? I think exactly the same, but supporters have to believe - even in miracles. This game was much better than the last one - our players wanted to fight... German was a better team - that's for sure. But we almost did it. Last 15 minutes we played with 10, and were so close to draw. I have to say than Klinsmann made a great change - he moved in David Odonkor, who is very fast. It was great tactic for our exhausted players. And - after a mistake of unexperienced Dudka - Germans made it 1-0. Anyway - I think that Poles may be proud of our players' game (especially defence) today...
Thank you for your belief in Poland... That's over for us, so now I'll support other countries in their fights!

Bad luck Poland! I didn't see much of either game but from what I've heard you are very unlucky to be the first team out of the tournement.
I think most on here, whatever their loyalties would support the Poles over the Germans (I can't get really emotional either way about the footie team but one of my fav arty films is 'Blind Chance' directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski)

As for Ayman - I don't know what's wrong with him, but I haven't seen such words in the rest of his posts... Maybe he was pissed? Or maybe someone wrote it from his PC? Anyway - it was extremely stupid...
PS: SE6Ajacied, do you have any connections with Poland? Girlfriend, wife, grandfathers, close friends? You know very much about Poland (Kapuściński, Kieślowski)...

No, no connections with Poland, I'm just intersted in politics/history/other cultures and like to learn (and probably have too much time on my hands.... :hypocrite: ).AsgAarD_xxx schreef: PS: SE6Ajacied, do you have any connections with Poland? Having met Ayman, I can say he's not such a bad bloke, don't know why he's posting this crap tonight though.

To be fair Zlatan was substituted because of an injury. I'm sure he'll be back in the team for the next game.
Sweden was lucky tonight and the right man scored the goal. Ljungberg was by far the best Swede in the game, but Freddy scoring on a header was the biggest surprise this far in the WC. :)
Nice to see Sweden get a win anyway. This will probably be enough for a spot to the next round.

I believed that swedish coaches would move Rosenberg in... It seems that he's on the bottom of their strikers' list. Really good games today. Ecuador proved that they are very strong team, Trinidad & Tobago were very close to make a big sesation once more and Sweden have scored at last (they scored only 2 goals in last 5 games as far as I remember). BTW - it is a shock how many goals are scored in last seconds of a game... And it is the same on every big tournament. Now I understand Frank de Boer's words, that players should be concentrate for 95 minutes.

Best of luck to the oranje tomorrow i'll be glued to the TV watching.I must admit that i am a tad worried by Drogba and company but with a little luck the dutch will grab a place in the secon round tomorrow.
HUP Holland !!!!!
PD: Man i was sweating when Ljungberg scored, watch out Germany( or Ecuador :D ) if the swedish forward line caches fire things might go the wrong way for their opponnents.

Glad Sweden got the points (somewhat luckily) today. Still not playing great, but the important thing is to get out of the group, which they should probably do now.
England were again poor and boring, but again have managed to get into the 2nd round. With Rooney more than likely a starter from here on in though, things may pick up.
As for tonights games...watch out Holland the other orange team is a real threat. I am actually quite concerned about our chances here. The IC are fast, bloody fast. I have my fingers crossed though...hup holland!
