Poland have played the last friendly before the World Cup finals. In Wolfsburg we've won against Croatia 1-0 after Smolarek's goal. It was much better game than last one - against Colombia (maybe it was because of different tactic - 4-5-1 instead of 4-4-2?). The game was on quite good level, but - of course - not on a highest. Players were a bit afraid of injuries, and Croatia's best striker (Dado Prso) spent a full match on a bench. Great game of Croatian midfielder Kranjcar. I'm sure that he will change the club for a big salary after the WC.

Press in Holland actually knows that Holland aren't favourites, mainly cause the likes of Van Basten and Cruyff keep telling them. But the optimism still exists. Orange beer, lion-pants, orange everything. Plus Germany is right next door, playing there will feel like home when everyone goes there :xyxthumbs:

Sneijder carried off in the 2nd half. Any news on the extent of the injury, it looked pretty bad...

if the ref and his assistant had good eyes we would have won. A 100% handsball in the penaltybox from the Aussies, but no penalty :nooo:

I love Holland, but I am afraid you wont advance from the group stage this time X'C

Results in your group will be something like:

1)

Argentina-Ivory Coast 2-2

Serbia-Holland 1-0

2)

Argentina-Serbia 1-1

Holland-Ivory Coast 1-2

3)

Holland-Argentina 2-2

Ivory Coast-Serbia 0-0

Ivory Coast and Serbia advances from the group, believe it or not :aai:

Im a dutch supporter, I have to say I have always had a soft spot for the Swedes, I hope they knock england out, or atleast top the group. As for Holland, I was disgusted in hearing about the dirty ozzies, I hope they get humiliated. I am really concerned over Wesley Sneijder. Nicky Hofs to replace him most probably, which sucks!

Hmm...interesting comments there Ayman. Luckily I dont get offended very easily ;)

Seriously though. Sneijder is a worry, but it was a 50/50 ball. In normal and slow mo, I didn't see any malace in there. Robben got fouled a few times, but he rolls around so bloody much (re: cheats), its hard to tell how bad the fouls are.

The tackle on Gio was poor, no doubt about it, but justice was done with a second yellow (red) for Wilkshire. Was a stupid thing to do, but don't say a country is "dirty" because of one idiot. This would be like saying Holland are dirty because of Bosvelt, or Sweden are dirty after Zlaton’s “tackleâ€

Well, I was unable to watch the holland-aussie match so had to make do with Brazil-NZ

Brazil fielded their first choice line-up, but were clearly not taking the game too seriously, though they eventually won 4-0. For those having to play Brazil, you can take heart from the fact that they are far from watertight in defence. The other thing that could work against them is complacency. Against NZ it was justified, but if they let their heads float up into the clouds against a decent team, they could get hurt. On the other hand, 3-0 up and with 4 minutes of injury time to play, Brazil appeared to think, 'bugger this, let's get another one' and then proceeded to slice NZ up 3 or 4 times before Juninho was put in one on one and duly scored. The change in tempo was scary. But they are beatable I think.

Brazil prepare for Germany against New Zealand, Germany with Luxembourg, England with Jamaica. What a joke.

Sneijder's injury is said to be better than expected. It was a dismal performance by Holland. I haven't seen much of Australian games but seeing how we actually dominated most parts I don't think there's much to be said.

I am sorry for my comments, I should backtrack, its just was angry, when I heard about it. But I didnt mean all ozzies were dirty just the players.
