I think we should stop talking about him leaving, less than 3 months since he arrived !!.

Lets just focus on him scoring goals for us.

Kowalczyk schreef:Ladies and gentlemen: KJH has signed a contract for 4.5 seasons. Normally, he won't stay until the end, but leave one or two years before it expires. That's in 2008 or 2009.

Selling a fantastic player after six months, while he has four years left on his contract...? That has absolutely never happened before, anywhere, and it won't happen now. Come on. This whole discussion is surreal. As if it's even an option.

I'm sure Clive Allen signed for 2 clubs in the space of a few weeks. Can't remember all the details. But, agree with you on Huntelaar. :xyxthumbs:
To Crystal Palace (definate - he never played for them) and then on to QPR (I think) - not sure who from - but he needed to, he was getting the World Record for playing for (signing to?) the most number of top flight London clubs :xyxthumbs:
Forza Haarlem. HFC Gone but not forgotten!

UEFA.com article

Very good read, this... It's an interview with Willy van der Kuijlen, the PSV goalscoring legend who was Huntelaar's youth coach at PSV.

http://www.uefa.com/magazine/news/Kind= ... 06672.html

It's up as a news link on the Ajax USA homepage. There are more (and new quotes, too), so check it out!

Ah, damn... KJH has dropped out of the top three of the Golden Boot. He won't win the Silver or Bronze one, either. Too bad, would have been nice.

Doesn't make his 33 goals less impressive, of course.

What a joy to follow the exploits of KJH. Definitely the silver lining on a sometimes dark season ever since he arrived. I am most impressed how his play on the pitch doesn't correspond to a huge ego and major attitude off it. Cold-blooded and a large, all eyes-on presence on the pitch. Totally humble, polite and lacking ego off it.

But he is a son of a gun on the pitch though.

You can't see Bosschaart headbutting Huntelaar anymore, Ko.

It works for me...

By the way, this is what Huntelaar had to say about the incident: "It was just a kiss."

Huntelaar is amazing.Gotta love the way he goes in among defenders like he is a Great White and they are a seal without a prayer.Calmly calculating.Totally devoid of emotion ...until he strikes.

After my previous post, I clicked on the link. The speeded up , repetitve bits at the end showed the headbutt more clearly.Worked great for me. Thanks for posting it Ko. Question: Does Bosschaart mean "chicken shit" in Dutch? Wonder if his wallet will be getting any lighter or if the KNVB will review the incident?

Attached is a link for a few of KJHs goals for Ajax this season, nice film but unfortunatley not the piece from AT5 programme Godenzonen the other evening which featured the song about KJH. The programme also starred our very own Ko, Jan Mulder as wel as KJH

Just reflecting on this guy and comparing his celebrations after scoring a goal. When he first started with us he seemed to be very matter of fact after scoring, but as time has gone by he has seemed to show more and more emotion. Long may he have many celebrations. :bis:

I loved it when Sneijder collided with Gomes in the cup final, and Gomes gave him a dirty little punch or something. KJH immediately steamed in. He was really furious (and got booked for it).

To be quite honest I love it when something like that happens. It really shows the team spirit, which is much better now than it was a few months ago.

Well, yeah. Gomes actually kicked sneijder in the face. Quite deliberately. Studs to the face. Any news on disciplinary action there?

Ah, quite. I didn't see the footage. From behind the goal it didn't look so bad, but people texted me that Gomes had done something extremely dirty. Apparently it was a kick in the face.

Disciplinary action should be taken, indeed. In Eindhoven they're still angry about that one time Dani kicked goalkeeper Patrick Lodewijks in the face when jumping over him. If that's such a criminal act, then let's take action against Gomes as well.
