no new players in january :) 9 million on KJH is enough don't you think? ;-)
in the summer we will see krohn-delhi comming, and Tom de mul returning from a lease to vitesse, as blind said he was very glad to see de mul doing so good in arnhem.
further more there is a chance we will see stam comming from AC milan, and rumours are that perez (az) landzaat(az) might come...

I think he's hinting at the dreaded scourge of football that we were discussing a few days back.....he's generally regarded to have had a poor season so it may be just that. The acid test would be the reception that Heitinga (for example) recieves (or any other player similarly regarded to have had a poor season).philippe schreef:from Ajax.nl

when people start whistling at your name before the kick-off, you know that it's not about football (?)..........
If as I suspect there is a marked difference in the reception, then sadly there does seem to be something else going on. :nooo:

Thing is, I've not really get an issue with players being criticised for playing badly (I've done it plenty of times myself - we play their wages after all). I do think what happened with Boukhari last week was way over the top though and I've got a big problem if non-white players are getting more stick purely for that reason. If that's happening then those responsible need to be banned for life, we don't need their sort of trash at the ground.RosenbergSpits schreef:well ajax fans are probably just like theire players, spoiled![]()
.
It's true to say though that us AFCA fans have probably become a little spoiled over the years and if the jeers are just a reaction to that, then I suppose that's just part of the game. Ajax are a big club and no doubt Boukhari is on "big club" wages so as long as there's no sinsiter motive, to a certain extent he must just take the rough with the smooth.
Bad Show to cheer our own players injuries though, come on Ajax, we can do better than that :nooo:

i can understand why some people are that mad. unlike me, lots of them are already fans for years and years, and have seen the CL final wich ajax won, and have seen ajax won the national cup many times, and since its the richest club of holland , you might think they are on the top of the league, wich they arent at the moment...It's true to say though that us AFCA fans have probably become a little spoiled over the years and if the jeers are just a reaction to that, then I suppose that's just part of the game

The world is really getting to be a crazy place when if you criticise the player he spouts off that you are only doing it because of his relgion. It really does get to me that if any member of an ethnic minority in our country is criticised they trot out this racial excuse. Its getting to the stage that you are scared to say anything to them.
As I said before I abused him on Sunday (although I didn't cheer when he was injured - totally out of order) not because of his race etc. but because he was utter crap. And yes Heitinga got exactly the same treatment from me.
Bloody hell Boukari get real - you are having a poor season - if you want to blame anybody away from yourself then blame the coaches for continually putting you in this position.

exactly! and i don't remember anybody rushing to rosenberg's defense except me (and he had just arrived!)
boukhari may be taking stick that technically should go to blind for fielding him, but the idea that his receptions are religously motivated is a very curious interpretation - i didn't even think of him as "a muslim guy getting stick" until this came up, he was just "a crappy player getting stick"

OPH, I'm absolutely certain that is what you and probably 3/4 of the rest of the people who were jeering were doing - booing a player for being crap, he ruined a lot of afternoons I'm sure. Nothing wrong in that, we pay his wages after all. Sadly that doesn't mean that at least some of the rest didn't have a rather worse motive. I wasn't at the ArenA but someone who was has already reported there are "problems" of that nature, and frankly it's exactly the sort of OTT stuff like cheering an injury that makes me suspicious of what some have in mind.Over Pasanens Head schreef: As I said before I abused him on Sunday (although I didn't cheer when he was injured - totally out of order) not because of his race etc. but because he was utter crap. Anyway, this is a very depressing conversation to have. Here's hoping that it's the last time we ever have to do so and that we can return to discussing the football. (on second thoughts though haven't seem that much of that around these parts lately though

it seems that both parties can not find an agreement. Therefore Galasek could be another name on the List : this is getting scary.

I agree with you. Now we need for sure at least TWO experienced (not old but in the climax of career) and skillfull midfielders. not easy, nowadays, for these reasons in my opinion.
-great midfielders are rare worldwide
and
-if they are rare, it's unfortunately difficult that they choose for Ajax rather than premier league, la Liga, serie A, Bundesliga or French Le Championnat in the climax of their career.
so we have these options:
-choosing (and growing) youngsters: sarpong, krohn-dehli, and so on.
- going for olders like galasek
- going for dutch good midfielders: one is landzaat for sure, but the other? mendes da silva? theo janssen? I like him very much.
Telll me if I said bullshits

O tempora o mores
In spite of talk that Milan want Sneijder and today that Juve have be recommended Maduro, both these players will be here next season and should form the basis of our midfield .Lindenbergh will stay.
Urby seems more a candidate for left midfield so I think we will only need one experienced midfielder. Lindgren may return and hopefully next season young Sarpong will start to come through. I mentioned midfielders with our reserves in a posting yesterday and forgot to say the 18 year old Belgium Vertoghen has been playing regulary in mid field for the reserves this season. Also Aborah appears to be doing well with Den Bosch so we have plenty of youngsters to bring through.
With Grygera looking as if he will go as well I think we will need a right back, centre back , midfielder and Right winger( no I am not a fan of Rosales) plus sign Juanfran and another reserve goalie.
We should get 3/4 experienced players in and continue to blood our youth.
It does not seem so bad as we will be losing about 12 players but will probably only have to buy about 5/6 max.

I think we have a good midfield...Sneijder ,Maduro ,Lindenbergh ...if Jenner come to ArenA we should play with these 3 good players in midfield ...and start to play in 4-3-3 again...
Lidgren will be back ,we have Sarpong , Emanuelson can play in midfield...
I think we need just one good midfielder to sit on the bench and help us ...
we need right now just central backs...and a right back...
And would like to see Kromkamp in Amsterdam ,Central back I dunno...

Let's sign some Dutch midfielders who have played regularly for a couple of years and are in their twenties on solid deals (min 3 years). I couldnt give you any names, since transmissions from the Netherlands are a rarity (unfortunately), and I have no clue as to who would be good. I'll leave that up the wise users of Ajaxtalk.orange goblin schreef:I agree with you. Also, I would like announce my 2006 campaign for Danish U/21 national players. As I understand it, We already get Dehli back after the summer, but there is such huge potential in the current U/21s (playing 4-4-3) that I would like to see minimum two players signed after the European U/21 Championship this summer. For midfield I would suggest Martin Bergvold (FC Copenhagen), Rasmus Würtz (Aalborg BK), or Sebastian Svárd (Portugese Guimareas). The two central defenders on the U/21 are, in my opinion, out of Ajax' reach. Daniel Agger (ex-Brondby) just signed a huge deal with Liverpool and Leon Andreasen is a regular with Bremen.
My utopian dream of a new "Danish Wave" as an answer to any and all Ajax problems will help me slep at night and ignore the current league standings... :eusa_pray:

With all due respect..we had a mini danish dynisty, when Morten Olsen took the reigns in 1997-98. It screwed us up, so please not too many danish players, as there are not any great danes coming through the youth ranks like they used to. E.G Jesper Olsen, Morten Olsen, Lerby, Arnesen, Schmeichel, Laudrup Bros etc

In my opinion, the disparity of the late 90s was more due to the break-up of the '95 team and Bosman than Morten Olsen managing the team. Ill agree that Brian Laudrup was utter crap for Ajax, but he didnt play until '99 and I dont think neither Michael Laudrup or Ole T. screwed anything up while they played for the club.Ayman schreef:To afckeeper95.....

Due respsect noted, Im just pointing out that there ARE in fact some great players coming through the youth system, and I would like to see some of them in Ajax. As a Dane, following the national league and national youth teams closely Im telling you that, In my opinion, some great players are coming up through the ranks, which I think this summer's U/21 Championship will show. The level of Danish club soccer is utter crap, but that doesnt mean there arent any talented players being developed.
Morten Olsen also screwed us up with his shit tactics. Remember the 1-3 defeat to Spartak Moscow in Amsterdam in the Uefa cup quarter finals. Thats partly why the de Boers wanted to leave. I dont mind signing one or two danish talents but I certainly dont want a Danish Invasion of 6 or 7 players from Denmark.

I can't remember the game against Spartak, so I can't really comment on that, but I totally agree with you on the latter part. All Im saying is there are a couple (2-3) of the lads on the current U/21 squad that Ajax should take a closer look at. I guess this is the wrong thread for that discussion come to think of it.Ayman schreef:Morten Olsen also screwed us up with his shit tactics. I can't believe what I'm reading on this page. Under Morten Olsen we we won the league with 89 points out of 34 games and a goal difference of +90. We won the Cup by beating PSV 5-0 in the final.
As for the "Danish invasion"... Michael Laudrup proved to be a football genius, Ole Tobiasen was unlucky to be injured, Gronkjaer was decent enough and we managed to flog him to Chelsea for loadsamoney.

I note Svard is mentioned as a young Dane. This guy was at Arsenal for about 4 years and they loaned him out last season but he was never going to geta chance there.
On the same theme Quincy Awousu Abeye , a former Ajax youth is in his 4th year at Arsenal and has had a few minor cup appearances but at nearly 20 I think he will go the same way as young Svard.
