Ah, blind3, I can always count on you for a quotable quote. :cheer:Blind3 schreef:Given our left and right wankers , er, wingers
Christmas this year was spent AT HOME in Pleasant Hill (near San Francisco), with family from Oregon and friends from across the street over in our house all day, cooking, drinking good wine and good bourbon, and listening to honest American music (John Prine, Johnny Cash, and the amazing fiddle of Mr Tommy Jarrell) while it just rained rained rained all day long. We opted for a big ol' prime rib of beef instead of the usual poultry of the season. Excellent!
Today, on Boxing Day, we gave the servants the day off, as per tradition.
Merry merry to everyone, and I hope you all prosper and multiply in 2006. Ajax needs the $$$.

Okay, as a holiday gift to everyone on the boards, I'll share with you
THE FUNNIEST THING IN THE WORLD...
I've been walking & driving past this place for years, finally bothered to snap a picture of it with my camera phone...
This is a little two-business 'strip mall' near my house, with a Chinese restaurant and a sex shop sharing the property, side by side.
The sign out front, thanks to the name of this particular restaurant, makes this THE FUNNIEST THING IN THE WORLD...
This is real, not photoshopped, not done as a prank. These two businesses have been here for nearly 10 years.
Are you ready?
...
Ok, check it out:

So, on that note, I hope everyone has a great holiday, and we all get what we want from Santa Claus... a PSV crisis that sees them drop 10 points in January/February. Of course, would Ajax have what it takes to capitalize?

OK Guys,
Merry Xmas and Happy New 2007. Let's hope Ajax can get a trophy or two this time as well :xyxthumbs:
I'm just hoping that the fog at Heathrow that's disrupting all flights at the moment clears in time for Boxing Day, otherwise it'll be end of the year in London instead of Dublin for me

Merry Xmas Guys.
Its been an interesting year for me personally. I got to see my beloved Ajax play (and win), Australia played in a WC for the first time in 756 years or something like that, Melb Victory become champions of Australia AND I got to meet some new Ajax friends and spend some quality time with Ajax friends already made.
Seasons Greetings and may 2007 bring health and happiness to all.
All the best guys :tifoajax:

I wish the entire Ajax USA and Ajax Talk communities a very happy Christmas and a fabulous 2007!
2006 wasn't my favourite year. Everything seemed to be great, as always, until August 8th, the day my girlfriend suddenly broke up with me. This totally took me by surprise, everything seemed to collapse and the remaining four months of the year weren't the best ones I've had.
But in spite of my sadness I never felt seriously unhappy or 'damaged'. I've never had any bad luck in my life so far (this was the first time) and it was nice to find out that life, indeed, goes on. I have loads of very nice people around me, and many passions to live for, and in spite of everything I must say I am a happy man, over all. The number of people who were there for me deeply moved me. I appear to have even more friends than I thought I had.
I feel pretty good now: strong, optimistic, looking forward to the future and to a new life (whatever it may bring). I moved into my new appartment last weekend. My new life can start and I have found out (the hard way) that I'm a strong lad and that the optimist inside of me is invincible. I'll be alright. I'll always have a good time, no matter what.
2007 will be a good one, mark my words, and I hope it will be for all of you.

That kind of thing can really feel like a punch to the gut. I hope 2007 finds you fully on your feet and happy in your own skin.

Well, I don't think so, but I don't like to overuse it, in case someone gets tired of it (not that I ever would). :xyxthumbs:carcajou schreef:There's no such thing as a bad occasion to use that dancing smiley am I right?? :D :D
