A trip to Rotterdam to take on our former gaffer's team. Will the lackluster play continue?

This is game 8 and the 7th one against a team in the bottom half of the table.PSV the only one in the top half . So after this game they will get tougher and if we looked poor v NAC and Volendam were much better we will struggle for points.

This morning, as almost every morning, I was out for my power walk and was wearing my Ajax shirt. I normally walk for 40-60 minutes thorough our neighborhood. I walked into a street whey were doing some repair work on the road surface. Two of the workers immediately recognized the shir and said 'Viva Ajax.' It made me feel good that our club is still respected.

Still think Ajax has a great name with fans world wise. We fans are suffering at present with a useless coach who doesn't know what he is doing.Wijndal and Reeger both out injured which is a relief neither are good enough for Ajax. I guess Klaassen and Berghuis will start so we basically play with 9 men.

A defeat must see Heitinga sacked but I just want a win even if its like last week.I would never want Ajax to lose.

Mokio at LB, F-Jim assume at 6 but Klaassen starts and Gloukh sub.Weghorst starts. Any sort of win will do to keep us in the top 3.

Ok so far although a stupid mistake by Baas to give away a penalty. Fitz-Jim having agood game although faded a bit.Mokio is not a left back and been caught out.Klaassen invisible as usual.Expect Berghuis to come on and gut feeling we will lose. They have the poorest defensive record in the league so lets see.

It’s just the stupid decisions like always starting with Klaassen which get me the most. What are they seeing which none of us are?

We almost conceded from a corner and Klaassen didn’t even try to jump and watched his mark get a free header. Get the guy off.

This is so fucking shameful. The entire Ajax board needs to go. Whoever forced Kroes to only bring in a Dutchman can honestly fuck off as well.

If Heitinga has any shame, he should just resign and make everyone’s life a bit easier. Kroes clearly doesn’t have the balls to accept his mistake and fire Heitinga

Ended 3-3 somehow. I mean Sparta is still a terrible team so they end up giving up 2 open shots in the box.

None of this changes the fact that either Heitinga has to resign or get fired. There are zero tactics here.

Weghorst and Gloukh both with great goals got us the point but Heitinga needs to go today and Kroes should go with him . Kroes got him appointed and has left him with no LB or experienced no 6 . We have now played 7 of the bottom 9 and struggled in many of these games but we now start playing the better sides.

I was otherwise occupied this morning so I just finished watching the replay. Just when you think this team can't fall any further you witness a debacle such as this one. Thanks to Weghorst and Oscar, Ajax rescue a point they clearly did not deserve. Credit a bit to Jaros for not letting it get to 5-2 in the 2nd half which would have truly been lights out. The second save was good but he was lucky on the first one that the Sparta player didn't make more of the breakaway. Let me get this right, we pay a lot of money for Oscar and he either plays out of position or does not start. WTF is going on here. Management wanted attacking Ajax football so they run a manager out of town who almost won a championship last season and now we are left with a team that cannot attack, cannot defend, and is totally tactically clueless. Great job Kroes and Bueker, you really know how to shape a winning team. Those two along with Heitinga should resign in embarrassment though that is not likely to happen as there will be the usual excuses of just give things a bit more time. For me life is too damn short for more time. I would rather watch Dortmund who seem to know how to do things right even though they are a selling club as well.

Heitinga (1) - please resign!!!
Jaros (5.5) - came out fast to force a wide shot and made a good save and was helpless on the three goals
Rosa (4) - plays well one week and not so good the next
Sutalo (5) - not helped out by mediocre players around him
Baas (5) - yes it was an unfortunate hand ball
Mokio (3.5) - definitely not a full back and he proved it by not defending and then making a stupid pass that was turned into a goal
Fitz-Jim (4) - had a great shot that was saved by both uprights but that was it, he cannot defend
Taylor (4.5) - he was supportive a Heitinga in mid-week, I wonder if he has changed his mind
Captain #1 (4) - WHY?????
Moro (4.5) - let me understand why he comes off and the headless chicken does not
Weghorst (6) - MOTM if there is even one
Godts (3.5) - just awful, running around without any clue of what to do, maybe he thinks he is as good as Barca's Yamal - Earth to Godts - you are NOT
Gaaei (4) - good assist on the third goal and that was it
Captain #2 (3.5) - came on for Captain #1 and was dreadful, you can no longer play this game, please retire and we will give you a gold watch
Oscar (6) - nice shot to grab the point but why is he on the bench?
McConnell (NR) - we have youth players better than him, send him back home to Merseyside
Konadu (NR) - on late

Fortunately there is not an Ajax match next week!!!!!

It’s not really worth watching with the team in this state. I’ve honestly spent the last few games thinking about other things I wish I had chosen to do with my free time!

This too shall pass, I guess.

Only bright spot Wijndal and Reeger are out for a while.We were very poor and lucky to get the point. Klaassen and Berghuis should be put out to grass but Kroes needs to go as the squad is not good enough.
Wijndal is a poor LB but now injured and we have no back up. Mokio is fine in MF but is no LB . Baas can play there but better in the centre . We do have a few RB's in Jong and U19 and I refuse to believe they are no worse than Rosa or Gaaei. Only LB is Jetten but not sure he is good enough.

Biggest moan about our squad is Mc Connell ,dont think I have ever felt so annoyed with a signing ever.Maybe a nice lad and a decent footballer but he is a Liverpool reserve and we are Ajax ,every football fan knows us for our youth..Why are Bounida and Steur on the bench both should be coming on in games like this ,against the so called weaker sides.
Mokio should start at 6 .

When Heitinga goes we should let Mc Connell return to Liverpool in January.Bringing in someone's youth to give them experience is a disgrace to our club and what we stand for.

Fitness clearly a lot worse under these clowns .Wijndal and Reeger both out for a while Dolberg injured,Itakura injured in training but Rosa went off injured and Godts has withdrawn from Belgium games with a hamstring.

Not counting Jong Ajax players ie Bouwman Steur Konadu and Bounida , we would currently have 3 fit defenders, Gaaei, Sutalo and Baas, 4 fit fowards Edvardsen ,Moro,Weghorst and Berghuis.Mf thriving with Klaassen, Gloukh,Taylor,Fitz-Jim, Mokio and McConnell.Oh and 2 goalies although 1 is 42 next month .

The injuries are all muscles and proves we are not training or getting them fit enough . Farioli did not get so many injuries but he had better medical and training staff

Some of the pundits were quite positive about Godts and Taylor. I’m definitely not a fan of either of them and I agree with what Orange wrote. If that sort of play is getting praise, we are not Ajax right now!

Jaros is also unfit for Ints this week.Just as well we dont have a CL game this week

It's interesting to watch the Ajax women's matches. They play true Ajax football and do a great job of it. Heitinga could learn something by watching them.

I wonder if Dave Vos would be a good fit at Ajax. Farioli must think something about him as he took him to Porto.

Would be better than Heitinga. Unless Eric Ten Hag wants to come in I dont see Heitinga being sacked during this break. By the time the Nov Int break comes we will likely have dropped further down the table with AZ , Twente and Utrecht to come before that break.

Rosa Godts Gloukh who all had minor injuries after Sparta are fit . Wijndal and Dolberg out and Itakura is not certain . Reeger nothing known although he is no loss.Jaros also had an injury and nothing.

We have not beaten AZ for sometime and I would not be confident of us getting 3 points .

Berghiuis also injured, Itakura and Reeger subs . Rosa LB and Mf Mokio,Taylor ,Gloukh ,Edvardsen RW . So our best 3 Mf finally play together, I dont rate any of the other MF although F-Jim ok as sub . I want to see Bounida come on as a sub . Pharrel Nash who plays LW for U19 and only debuted for Jong recently is a sub.

I think that Weghorst was more deserving of a penalty call than the one that Parrot got when Rosa tried to intervene. Typical for this season. Ajax were decent but Jaros did really poorly on the first goal off the corner kick. I don't know how much more of this I can take.
