Only saw the second half because of issues getting a steam, I thought they carried out the plan pretty well in tricky conditions.
What a moment when Mokio scored! That’s what we watch for.

Ajax fans grow up watching our own youth and the great JC says you play with your own youth and only if they are not good enough do you sign players but they must be better.Sadly this has not happened in the last 3 years and we have been landed with dross.
Watching Mokio made me excited a real talent and he chose Ajax over Bayern and Barca due to our name for training youth and whats more giving them a chance. Bounida is about to sign again and his hero is Appie, Steur looks quality. More talents are coming through and will get their chances if they are good enough.
I do get an extra buzz seeing our own kids, not sure fans of other big clubs feel the same. I feel very positive about us again and Farioli is doing a great job .
Hope he stays next season and gets us playing a bit more like a real Ajax side but that depends on what squad we start with . His rotating has been critisised by the pundits but it works ,we have less injuries than the others and the back up players get playing time and so fit in well when needed.

I agree with everything SPL said. It's unfortunate that the club had to spend two years in the wilderness after ten Hag left for ManU. However, it's good that they youth system was not damaged as a result of Mislintat's foolish experiment with second class imports. Kroes still has work to do this summer when some of those on loan return and Ajax may have to pay some players off to leave. Young players know that they will always have a chance to breakthrough and develop at Ajax as they have in the past. The downside is that they end up staying for only a short time before they move on for more money. I too would like to see Farioli stay, he's got a good head for football and knows how to get the best out of his players.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!

Totally agree with SPL. Most of us here were shocked at how many random players Mislintat was signing.
Rotations have absolutely worked for us. That was my main criticism of Bosz and then later Ten Haag. They both had a core set of 11-12 players and were never able to solve for injuries which are a part of life in football these days.

Oh and Farioli can stay as long as he wants which is hopefully for many years. The way he’s been able to take the same squad as last year and have such a big turnaround is quite remarkable.
