I remember the Beker match against Kozzaken Boys from October 2016. Nouri, de Ligt and Cerny all started and played well. Here is what I wrote at the end of the match, "Fun to watch the kids play. Amazing how popular Nouri is with everyone. All the young supporters came out of the stands to get his autograph and picture. He might not get back to Amsterdam until tomorrow!!!"
Unfortunately, Ajax got bounced out of the cup later that year against Cambuur with Frenkie, Nouri and van de Beek all starting in the MF. Nouri's last match in competition came on the final match day against Willem II when he came on in the 2nd half.

Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: Abdelhak Nouri
So its 7 years today the saddest day in sport for me when Appie collapsed. I had a good day , watched proper pro cricket in Arundel Castle ,then stopped off at a game to see my son play club game and got home looked up Showtime and somehow football has never quite been the same. It was the Thursday following it was announced he was brain dead . I will never forget that moment I just burst out crying, yes a bad injury could finish anyone but this was too terrible for words.
You probably gather I am never going to forget Appie .Every home game the F side banner with his name comes out they dont forget and this 73 year old Englishman will never forget.
Stay strong Appie.

Re: Abdelhak Nouri
A beautiful article on Showtime today about Appie. Many posters making comments I dont agree with , he was a talented player but a wonderful humble human being . The real fans wont forget him ,hence the 34th minute tribute in the old heros game last Sunday.
