We lost to Reading u 23 2-1,they scored first and Konadu brought us level but Bouwman with an OG on 69 settled the game .

Reading's average age was 21 ours 18 as we fielded all teenagers ie players born 2005 and later.Reading 1st are 16th in Div 1 in England and this was their reserves.Even with a young side surely we should be beating such reserve teams. With our strongest Jong side ie Janse,Rijkhoff,Banel Brandes Chourak we should be able to beat Reading 1st team.

We can assume Rijkhoff is with the 1st as Weghorst is injured but again no V A Dongen must be injured.

Hlynsson and Tahirovic are now 6th and 7th choice MF and Berghuis when fit means they drop down to 7th and 8th. Dont see these 2 getting much playtime.Hlynsson may get minutes until Berghuis is fit but Tahirovic and Mannsverk ,when fit , wont get anytime and need to go in January.Mokio got a few minutes the other week so is ahead also.

We lost 1-0 ,their first half goal by a bad mistake by Janse, He had a bad night and got a red , a 2nd yellow 2 or 3mins from time.We created a few chances in the 2nd half and were unlucky but overall a poor performance from what I gather.

Steur replaced Hlynsson at HT and clearly impressed the Ajax Showtime followers.Tahirovic very poor evidently.Other subs in 2nd half Jetten for Alders,Jermoumi for Ugwu and Vink for Mokio and Wolff for Kalokoh.

Finished 1-1 which is a good result against the team joint top and with a weak attack.

Wolff scored on 54 they replied on 84 but chances for both sides.

V A Dongen returned after 60 for Boerhout and got about 37 mins or so ,just hope he stays fit as he will get 1st team games but a big IF he stays fit.
Other subs in 2nd half Jermoumi,Speksnijder,Chahid and Ugwu for Steur,Verkuijl,Chourak and Wolff.

International break now for 2 weeks.

Home to ADO tonight and a much changed line up from last Friday

Another dreary 0-0 draw with few chances created and ADO were down to 10 men after 30mins.
Critics on Ajax Showtime may seem to forget that Mokio and Steur are 16 and Jetten and Bouwman 17 but Boerhout ,Banel and Kalokoh seem to get the most critics.

Lost 2-1 . 1-0 down at Ht but soon after Bouwman headed across into his own goal ,did the same a few games ago. Chourak scored on 63 but that was it .Ajax had a bit of luck Roda missed a penalty round about 80 min mark .

Some strange subs.On 60 mark Ugwu for Jetten and Kalokoh for Boerhout ok but Jermoumi a fullback for Wolff odd when Speksnijder was still on the bench.
Then minutes after his goal Chourak an AMF is replaced by Brandes a DMF but may have been injured ! Late on Chahid for Verkuijl both DMF . Speksnijder a winger cum attacking MF unused.

Have to question the coach on this.Finished with 7 defensive players, a 16 year old no 8 and 2 attackers.

Rikhoff and Vink are injured . V A Dongen is injured again . Last year we gave him a contract to 2027 above 700,000 pa and he is never fit ,a joke. Mind we signed a Belgium defender called Butera in summer 2023 for 1m ,giving him a decent salary and he is still injured. Had been injured for a while when signing .

Match is on Dutch ESPN and Jong Ajax had some decent chances but could not convert. They conceded a junk goal at the 40th minute when both Janse and Setford failed to deal with a cross and an open VVV player had a simple tap in. I share SPL's frustration with van Axel Dongen. He was named outstanding talent about three years ago but has been constantly injured since.

And it ends 0-1. Jong Ajax were good at getting the ball in scoring situations but the shots were pretty much tame. VVV really did not threaten at all in the 2nd half.

Another poor result although defence is good ,13 conceeded in 13 games but 12 scored. Fans moaning but forget Steur and Mokio are 16 and could play for our U17 team . Bouwman and Jetten are only 17. Attack without Rijkhoff and V A Dongen is not good enough . Kalokoh has struggled this season and Banel and Boerhout are not good enough . Faberski the exception and Konadu has promise.

Subs tonight just for interest Speksnijder and Kalokoh for Hlynsson and Konadu at Ht with Boerhout and Chourak for Steur and Alders late on.

We are now 16th ,VVV still below us but Jong Utrecht bottom 7 points behind us.

Another defeat ,we lost 4-2 having been 2 up in 20 mins Banel a penalty and Mokio scored .They were 3-2 up 10 mins after Ht but we failed to pull it back and their 4th came deep into ET.

Subs in 2nd half Alders for Brandes,Faberski for Mokio,Steur for Hlynsson and Rijkhoff for Konadu with Boerhout on at the end for Wolff.

We now lie 16th and at present I can see us being 18th with Utrecht likely behind us and Vitesse with points deduction bottom. No fear of relegation if we finish below Utrecht , the 2 x Jong teams in Div 2 well down.

We have some promising players but a clear out will have to be made next spring. Brandes and Banel will have to move on as they will be 21 and not good enough for 1st. Wolff plus subs Jermoumi,Chahid,Speksnijder,Boerhout and Chourak not making much impressions .

Our Premier League Int Cup v Notts Forest U23 is being played tonight and its on Ajax youtube .I only saw this after the game started and its now 0-0 at HT

Watched since 15 min but nothing very exciting has happened,Wolff had a good chance and should have scored.

Watched the last 40 minutes of what was a very boring match. Ajax conceded another late goal and lost 1-0. They had a couple of shots on goal that were saved but the buildup play was too slow and they were easily dispossessed.

Agree a very boring game a bit of sloppy defending to let in the goal. ( Subs in 2nd half Brandes,Verkuijl,Amour for Appiah,V D Pavert and Jermoumi,Rijkhoff and Beekman for V D Vaart and Boerhout)

Nobody stood out but we had all teenagers playing but the best of our teenagers are playing youth Internationals.Like Reading I imagine Forest had a lot more older players

Finally a much needed win 3-0 ,takes us up to 16th and Jong PSV and Utrecht are below us. Konadu on 20 and Faberski on 64 after a goalie error with Banel the 3rd in Et.

Mokio and Rijkhoff came on at Ht for Verkuijl and Konadu. Alders and Banel for Jermoumi and Steur midway with V d Pavert making his debut for Chourak for the final 10 mins .

Clearly 1 or 2 players were rested on Friday after the Forest U23 game as only Chahid and Bouwman are missing assumed injured with V A Dongen.

Faberski and V A Dongen for Banel and Wolff and that would be about our strongest team ie with 2 x 16 year olds Steur and Mokio and Jetten only 17.

3-0 defeat and a poor game by Jong. 2 x 1st half goals by Volendam and their 3rd a penalty 8 mins into added time at the end.

Subs Faberski for Banel at Ht with 2nd half subs Konadu for Rijkhoff,Jermoumi for Jetten,Kalokoh for Wolff and Verkuijl for Chourak. Wolff carried off on a stretcher with suspected cruiciate ligaments so hope it wont be as bad as that.

We are now 17th with VVV, Jong Utrecht and Vitesse below us.Most of our teams are teenagers with one or 2 just 20 and are struggling against adults.
