0-0 at the half and amazing at that. Both teams had great chances. Setford had three tough saves to make. Ajax had three open shots but muffed them. Rijkoff is at #10 with Kanodou as striker. I really like the RW, Faberski; he's really fast and knows what to do with the ball.

Finished 2-2 we created the better chances and missed a pen. Konadu missed the pen when we were 1-0 down around 70 min mark . PSV then gave us an OG at 85 but then scored and made it 2-1 on 90 mark with a pen .Kaplan on 95 got the deserved point.

Have to admit this was an entertaining match. Four goals, two by each team but one was a PK, one an own goal, one a poor header right to an attacker and one a GK mistake on a corner kick. Faberski drew a penalty but Kanadou clanged the PK off the post. Jong PSV were marginally better. PSV started Drommel at GK who is really not a Jong player and Pepi at striker (he's right behind Luuk de Jong). Drommel made some big saves but misplayed Kaplan's header in the 95th minute that tied the game. Ajax had a number of shots saved or blocked as did PSV. I was not impressed with either Ajax FB. Faberski plays like Mika Godts and I think can break through into the first team. Setford made some great saves but conceded a PK when he had to come out and took down the PSV attacker.

Jong Ajax have been invited to play in the Premier League International Cup in England this fall. 32 U-23 teams are entered with half coming from England. Eight teams in four groups with 4 English and 4 foreign teams in each group. The English teams play each of the foreign teams one time with the top two teams moving on to the KO round of single elimination. Jong Ajax will play Reading, Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton, and Tottenham. Matches begin Sept 24 and pool play ends in late December. Up to four overage players including one GK are permitted but traditionally, Ajax use only players in the age group. Jong PSV are also scheduled to play in this competition with Fulham, Norwich, ManU and Liverpool in their group.

this should be good experience for the Ajax youth!!

I wonder if they are reconsidering given how poor Mannswerk played the other day. Personally, I think Vos has promise if he can get his head on right.

Vos may not be ready for a regular spot in our 1st but Mannsverk is no better . There is no talk of buying a MF other than Rosario who is another DMF .We are going to struggle for 4th place let alone 3rd place with our current MF and indeed squad.

We play Eindhoven today 16.30 away.

Caught the final 30 mintues of a 0-3 win. Rijkoff with two goals, one from the spot and a great run by Faberski from inside the Ajax defensive half and scored with a really hard shot. I won't be surprised to see him make minutes with Ajax first team. He is already better than Forbs.

I went out for a walk when this was on, heavy rain gave way to lovely sunshine. a good win and following Unuvar with his 4,Rijkhoff with 2 so a good afternoon for our 2 strikers.

Jetten 17 Mokio 16 and Bouwman nearly 17 there is some real talent and again Faberski clearly impressed.

Good to see van Axel Dongen in the match squad. I hope he can stay healthy as he is really the only other left winger we have besides Godts.

We won 1-0 Mokio on 51. Ugwu ,Chourak and Vink for Jetten,Mokio and Konadu on the 60min mark but V A Dongen came on for Faberski on 72 and played about 23mins .If he stays fit he can indeed play left wing with Godts. Chahid for Banel the final sub .

Lost 2-1 having been 1-0 up at HT, Banel on 41.Match turned in ET as Kaplan gave away a penalty but got a red card for his 2nd yellow,it seemed harsh.AZ missed the penalty.However they scored on 55 and Jetten gave away another pen after 58 and they made it 2-1 which was how it finished.

After Ht Konadu and Verschuren came on for Rijkhoff and Banel.Chahid and Ugwu came on after 60 mins for Jetten and Chourak with V A Dongen playing the last few minutes for Mokio.

To make it a bad night our U17 were ko'd from the U17 cup by ADO on penalties. Hope our 1st team does better tomorrow.

Count yourself lucky!! It was a dismal performance. I think this is a U-23 competition but of course Ajax send out U-21 and younger players for these kinds of matches. They were physically at a disadvantage and the passing was just horrible, Jong Ajax rarely strung together two passes throughout the game. I feel bad for Bouwmann who was one of the better players but he had an own goal in the 2nd half when he misplayed the ball sending it into the upper left corner and Reverson had no chance. There was very little pressing and Ajax really had trouble creating turnovers all match long. Konadu got the goal for Jong Ajax and that was the extent of the highlights.. Unuvar came on late and was busy in the box but only got a weak shot off. Nobody else really stood out.
