I just realised on Berghuis birthday December 19th Ajax play away to Feyenoord! Imagine if he scores on his birthday against his former club!

In any event I am not happy at all, if he betrayed Feyenoord he will betray Ajax.
I will never celebrate him scoring a goal for Ajax even if it's the Champions League winning goal/penality (Shoot out)

The only redemption for me is if Berghuis scores the winning goal/penality (shoot out) for the Netherlands in the world cup final!

According to Mike Verweij, we have pulled out of the chase for Sulemana. He was stringing us along and demanding a starting spot. Apparently today he requested additional time to make up his mind and Overmars finally said 'No , thank you'.

I've been a little tired of this sage myself and am totally ok with missing out on this prima donna.

Agree we have finally pulled the plug . Rennes are going to pay the extra money his agent wants and he will get a starting place there. Here he would understudy Tadic so would not get many starts. If Neres stays we have Antony Berghuis and Neres all for the right side and just Tadic for the left side.

I would love for Neres to stay but like you said it means we would have 3 natural RW with the impending arrival of Berghuis and only 1 LW.

he was also asking 90k per week. glad we told him and his agent to piss off as they were clearly still shopping around for the best deal and not serious in negotiations. 16 million was also way too much for someone who plays in a crappy league. good luck to him wherever they pay him the most.

we have signing mohamed daramy from fc copenhagen for 13 million. he’ll compete with tadic for the left wing position, with neres expected to leave. looking back at tadic’s performance today and his age, it’s a good idea to have someone a bit quicker

I can't believe nobody is talking about the imminent arrival of Bergwijn and the possible arrival of Brobbey, although the latter has a new coach with his club now, so that is uncertain. But it would be interesting if Ajax sign Bergwijn.

P.S. Wouldn't it be ironic, come end of the season, Ajax in a champions league final, Onana saves a penalty and Bergwijn scores the winning penalty!

Our old friend Mino Raiola is in talks with Ajax to set up a return of Brian Brobbey to the club. Brobbey's transer to Leipzig did not work out as then trainer Nagelsman moved to Bayern and his replacement was recently sacked. Apparently Brobbey does not figure in the new trainer's plans. It looks as though this may be a loan but unclear whether Ajax can purchase him next summer.

He also said that Mazraoui's renewal chances aren't zero. It's a matter of status in the club
So, I guess we're renting Brobbey with a fee to sign him in the summer? I hope it's not more than 4-5 million. Lastly, do we have any news on Bergwijn's transfer?

Bergwijn will be the focus now that Brobbey is back. I have to say, Ajax are not messing about, they really do want to be considered the heavyweights of European football. Also Overmars seems to have a thing for ex Ajax/ex Eredivisie players.

Interesting move IMO. I don’t see Brobbey and Haller as mutually exclusive options. They have different playing styles so they could work well together.

Maybe this will help breaking down the 10-player defense we keep seeing in the eredivisie?

Brobbey and Haller have very different playing styles. Also gives Haller a break and gives us cover if the AFCON does happen.

Rumours from Barcelona is the talks of a swap between Dest and Mazaroui. I say no! Dest was always second to Mazraoui before he left. I hope Dest finds a new club, either in Germany or France. Honestly, I am not a fan of his. He left while he was still developing and although he didn't do too badly at first when he signed for Barcelona, he is in a bit of a rut much like the rest of them. I am just praying that Frenkie de Jong goes to Bayern Munich and not Man City!
