I watched both AZ and Feyenoord lose today. Both teams looked really bad. I don't think the Dutch league is all that competitive these days. If UEFA will let Belgium and The Netherlands merge leagues it will be better for all. Ajax would see more stern challenges. I think Euro football is looking increasingly doomed as the big teams will eventually break away for their own super league.

Good results last night ,AZ,Vitesse and Feyenoord all lost. Just need to beat lowly Willem tonight .

PSV turned around their 2 goal deficit at home to Olympiacos and were looking like they were going through 2-0, but they conceded in a goalmouth scramble in the 87th minute and are eliminated.

Again it's up to Ajax to collect coefficient points in UEFA competition. This is really getting tiresome. Other Dutch teams need to step up. If PSV lose to Ajax on Sunday, Roger Schmidt's job is precarious as AZ seem to be sorting things out.

The bad news for PSV is that even winning on Sunday probably won’t be enough for them to overtake Ajax.

Not saying I don’t I want to win the game but ultimately it’s better for everyone to have strong teams in the eredivisie.

BTW their pitch looked *awful* tonight, which does not suit our style of play.

Dutch teams seem to blow it at the last minute, AZ Alkmaar got good results in the group stages of the Europa league, but last minute goal sent them crashing out. And now PSV.

Emmen lost to NAC last night and with NEC beating Roda its either NAC and NEC to be promoted.

Emmen have an artificial pitch but are replaced by Cambuur who have one and join Heracles and Sparta with these dreadful pitches that should be banned at Eredivisie level.Sparta are changing to grass for 2022 season.

I thought 4–0 was a bit much, but the fact is PSV didn’t create any danger the whole match. Feyenoord just did their usual closing down and countering thing.

Wow, the last five minutes of the Heracles - AZ match were exciting. AZ were a man down and then a cracker of a shot from outside the penalty area drew it to 2-2. In the final minute of stoppage time, Heracles scored off a great free kick for the win. This is why I love watching the Eredivisie!

Saw most of the PSV - Feyenoord game and amazingly enough Feyenoord could've had another goal or two towards the end. Feyenoord had actually started time wasting when they scored the first goal.

A bit of shambolic team selection and subs by Schmidt. This team is going to implode before the end of the season.

By multiple games per week in the Eredivisie and the Conference League (which is their level), Feyenoord players seem to have more confidence in themselves.

I wouldn't change the Eredivise for the world. I know Some teams need to step it up in Europe, e.g. PSV, Feyenoord and a few others (Not only AZ Alkmaar). And despite the low quality of the Eredivisie, nobody can deny the excitement and unpredictability that has surprisingly gained viewers from across the world!

Our biggest worry is Feyenoord who are in good form and have brought in some decent players in January. I think they will finish above PSV. AZ are looking good but dropped too many points early in the season.

so roger schmidt will be heading to benfica after this season with van nistelrooy taking over at psv next season, which is pretty great news for us me thinks. gakpo likely leaving as well, psv want 40 million. no way anyone will pay that much

Schmidt is so clueless as a manager and its surprising that he would be hired at Benfica. van Nistelrooy may be as good a manger as van Basten was. Gapko is a really good player and will do well where ever he ends up. You might be correct in that they won't get €40M for him. I understand that he is one of the top targets for Juventus and he would fit in well there.
