02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
Ajax can welcome in the merry month of May by securing the Eredivisie title with a draw against Emmen who are fighting against relegation. They can then journey to Rotterdam next week and be greeted as CHAMPIONS!!
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!

Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
shame that there are no fans allowed
Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
Aside from the first 15-20 minutes, Emmen clearly the better team. Let's hope we do better next half.
Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
going to be number 35 today homies

Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
Not great in the 1st half but we just got better in the 2nd and the goals came . Wonderful to win the title with 3 games to spare.
Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
Nice that we could finish with some pizzazz. It wouldn't have felt as good if we won on a lackluster performance. Would have been nice if there were fans in the stadium, though. Just have to do it again next year, I suppose.
Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
So PSV drew and we are now 14 points clear.
Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
A simple 4-0 to win the league title against a stout Emmen team that came to play football. The first half was tight with only the fine goal by Timber that ended up as the game winner on the score board. Ajax put in three more in the second half courtesy of some fine assists from Tadic.
Player Ratings:
Stekelenburg (5.5) - never troubled
Tagliafico (6.5) - worked hard all match long but had some nasty challenges that finally warranted a Yellow Card
Martinez (7) - solid as usual
Timber (7) - very nice goal and little defending to do
Rensch (7) - what a fantastic run seeing lots of open space and rewarded by a nice pass from Tadic
Alvarez (7) - another good defensive game and had a couple of headers in the box that didn't find the target
Gravenberch (7.5) - solid controlling game in the MF
Klaassen (7) - industrious as always and got a nice goal
Tadic (7.5) - two phenomenal crosses converted into goals and he has to be my MOTM
Haller (6.5) - good all around game from the striker
Antony (6.5) - active as usual and did a great job tracking back and defending
Neres (5.5) - did not get a lot touches in his sub role
Mazraoui (6) - good to see him rounding into form and he had some good passes in the offensive zone
Kudus (5.5) - on late and let's hope he gets more playing time now
Schuurs (5.5) - had some decent touches coming on late
Labyad (NR) - on for two minutes at the end
The Classic against Feynoord next Sunday and I presume EtH will start the strongest 11 to win in Rotterdam

Re: 02 MAY 2021; Ajax - FC Emmen; Match Day 31
Was worried with out damp first half display. Emmem tired through the second half and the boys also turned it up a gear. Ended up being a comfortable victory at the end.
I truly hope we give more playing time in the last 3 games to the likes of Traore, Kudus and even Taylor. Might be difficult since next week is against Feyenoord.
