AZ still wont give up on CL top spot.3rd August is the day UEFA confirm all places for next season.If AZ are not given our top spot they may go to CAS ie arbitration.

If CAS went against Dutch FA and UEFA ,who have backed the Dutch FA , then Cambuur de Graafschap and Utrecht should go to CAS.In addition Ajax will almost certainly then take legal action and possibly make a claim against AZ for potential loss of CL money.

Dont think AZ stand a chance.I actually think with this season not decided then 2018/19 positions should count ie Ajax top,PSV 2nd.

This will be key for the Dutch league. AZ have had a terrible pre-season and are without Stengs who's still coming back from injury.

I don't get how a team that played that good last year, performs so badly today. Stengs, Boadu, Koopermeiners and co, largely anonymous. I bet they will start selling. totally unimpressive performance from AZ and only lucky to go forward because of the penalty call. If the keeper had held up, there was no way AZ scores on that play.

Well lucky for the Dutch co-effiecient that AZ somehow managed to sneak through. Equalized in the 95th minute and then scored twice in Extra Time.

Like all Ajax fans ,I am thoroughly fed up with AZ trying to steal our top place but now they are where they should be ie Dutch No 2 I want them to do well for Dutch co-effiecients . I also hope PSV and Feyenoord do well in Europe.AZ would be better in EL and not the CL group stages as I dont see them getting many points in CL.

PS I just want Netherlands to stay in that top 10 co effiecients table so our Champions ( hopefully always Ajax) always get directly into CL group stages.

they were pretty awful on the night. Boadu, Stengs and Wijndal all get mentioned for the Oranje and all were very bad in this game.

suprised nobody commented on this yet BUT both az and psv dropped point this weekend. both sides looked rather weak. psv can thank max for their point so far, without him, they could have stared at two losses out of the first two games. for psv, maxi is out for the season, and their israeli china signing has not arrived yet. apparently the guy scored over 100 goals in china, we shall see how well he does in the netherlands (btw, he was recently arrested in tel aviv for causing domestic disturbance due to loud noise his pool party caused on an afternoon - check out the video, it's pretty funny )
