I would prefer to play a home game first against Valencia, then, next game away to Chelsea (Before Lampard loses his job), then home to Lille. Therefore it would work in Ajax's favour.

A decent draw ,Chelsea are a lot weaker than most of the Pot 1 sides.Valencia and Lille are good sides but beatable.

I was way out in what qualification earns. Min 40m even if lose all 6 games. Something like 15m for getting to the groups but clubs get extra money on seedings and we are ranked 15th and get another 19m so add money from 3 home games and we are guaranteed 40m.

This is great money but my local team Brighton get 100m from sky ,believe we get about 10m from Tv. However they are just a small team in the EPL and they would not get 20m for their no 1 striker let alone 3rd choice like we have.

Being in the CL makes us a far bigger side than most of the EPL clubs especially now we pay 3m pa to players .Just the big 6 are bigger money wise than us.

Our name is still famous world wide and thus we need to continue getting into CL groups and certainly last 16 every season.

Well .... all beatable as already said, but also no easy teams. I fancy us against Chelsea, particularly with Lampard in charge. Valencia will be the toughest I reckon (strongest technically and therefore toughest for us). I have no idea what coming second in La Ligue means these days so difficult to judge, but not at all intimidating.

Looks like a very even group with twists and turns ahead.

Especially the first 35 minutes in the away game Ajax gave a masterclass in football, teaching a PL team how the game is played.

After Vertonghen went off Ajax went playing in a slower pace and Spurs did it just a little bit better, but Ajax should also had scored 5, 6 or 7 goals against them.

I don’t watch English football often but I just saw a 20 minute highlight package of Chelsea’s 1–0 win at home to Newcastle.

Don’t think it predicts much for Wednesday... Newcastle parked the bus - 5-4-1 with three CDs and two DMFs trying to clog the middle. Chelsea couldn’t create much and their main threat seemed to be runs from Barkley or Willian between the lines, whereas against Valencia they got the ball wide and played crosses to Abraham.

Overall I didn’t find them terrifying. I’m not sure who the favourite for Wed night would be.

I don't believe VAR used the wrong frame. The feed I was watching used the earlier frame but drew a line down from Promes's shoulder which was slightly beyond the defender's foot. Honestly it's so close you can understand the decision going either way. Personally, I'm surprised they decided it was a "certain" offside (which must be required to overrule the assistant's original decision?)... but you all know my thoughts on VAR so I'll stop there.
