KNVB denkt erover om laatste twee speelronden op te schuiven naar 12 and 19 mei.

Maar daar zit die wedstrijd tegen De Graafschap niet bij. Zoals het er nu voorstaat speel je op zondagmiddag tegen De Graafschap en op dinsdagavond uit tegen Spurs. Dat moet toch anders opgelost worden, zit op deze manier 1 vrije dag tussen.

Ik vernam de eerste pot op dinsdag 30 april uit en dan de return op 8 mei, maar onbevestigde bron.

Als je minstens 49 uur of 50 uur tussen einde van de ene wedstrijd en aftrap volgende hebt zitten dan is dat volgens 'de reglementen' lang genoeg.

De bekerfinale heette de ene keer KNVB Beker, Amstel Cup of Gatorade Cup en de KNVB probeerde er allerlei tradities aan te koppelen... Een vast finale stadion, Hemelvaartsdag als het kan. Maar al een paar jaar terug gooiden ze dat over boord want nr 4 t/m 7 spelen play-offs voor voorronde EL of de nr's 5 t/m 8. Dat is afhankelijk van of Willem II die dennenappel wel of niet wint en van hoe hoog die Tilburgers in de Eredivisie eindigen.

Dus wil men graag al ff weten wie de beker heeft gewonnen voordat de Neerlandsche Competitie die technisch en tactisch superieur aan de Engelse is ( wie citeer ik? ) afgelopen is Top!

Altijd mooi om in je eigen kleuren te spelen al leverde dat bij de finales van 1996 en 2017 geen beker op.

Dat uitshirt van '94-'95 vind ik stiekem wel mooi qua kleuren. Heb die, in 2008 geloof ik, voor slechts 20 piek nog een keer van iemand gekocht. Dus blijft voorlopig hier net zo hard in de kast liggen als dat Gezond Verstand nog in de kast zit.

Ik snap niet dt die jongens die zo van Ajax zeggen te houden het dan leuk vinden tegen Ajax te spelen. Is het leuk om Ajax een historische prestatie te ontnemen als je van Ajax houdt? Ten minste, ik neem toch aan dat ze daar hun uiterste best voor gaan doen.

Ik zag gisteren vijf jongens voetballen in een achtertuin. Eentje had een Ajax-thuisshirt. Een andere een Ajax-uitshirt. De een zei "Ik ben Mathijs de Ligt". Een ander zei "Ik ben Onana". True story.

Op het schoolplein van mijn dochter zie ik regelmatig voetbalshirtjes en minstens 50% van die shirtjes is altijd van Barcelona. Ik geef toe, ik heb wel eens eerder een Ajax-shirtje gezien op het plein. Maar niet eerder heb ik jongetjes horen zeggen dat ze De Ligt of Onana waren.

Ajax is pas de derde club in de Champions League-historie die erin slaagt in hetzelfde seizoen een uitwedstrijd in de achtste finale, kwartfinale én halve finale te winnen.

Dinsdag rekenden de Amsterdammers af met Tottenham Hotspur nadat ze eerder triomfeerden op bezoek bij Real Madrid (1-4) en Juventus (1-2). Ajax treedt met de hattrick aan uitzeges in de voetsporen van Bayern München (2013) en Real Madrid (2018).

Real Madrid boekte vorig jaar in de knock-outfase uitzeges bij Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus en Bayern München. Der Rekordmeister sloeg in 2013 op vreemde bodem toe bij Arsenal, Juventus en Barcelona.

Bayern München en Real Madrid legden trouwens beide beslag op de eindzege. Het huidige Champions League-format (met een achtste finale) wordt gehanteerd sinds het seizoen 2003/04.
