Hi Ferry , my wanting Younes benched is simply he is running down his contract and is not signing a new one. Ajax policy of such players is to not pick them. We have no back ups so Younes must be used.

Not sure what to make of the Kluivert story to Man u.He wont make their 1st team but if he does want out he is still under contract to 2019 so we cannot just drop him.

We cannot drop everyone who wants out but our policy is to drop those who run down their contracts and want out free ,ie. Younes.

Back to Raiola I will wait to see what he does with Kluivert. His other 2 players are Bakker,the talented 17 year old left back,he is contracted to 2019 and 18 in June so what will Raiola do.Also Ryan Gravenberch,16 in May ,and a talented attacking MF already in our U19.We are to offer him a 3 year deal but would not be surprised to see him at Chelski or in Manchester.

I think the time should soon come when we get rid of any player signed to this man.

Didn't Tete renew his contract when he was in his late teens? Same can happen for Bakker. As for Kluivert, it pains me to say it, but it's pretty much a done deal. What a stupid boy. Where is his father Patrick in all this? Oh that's right he jumped ship, he left Ajax for a lucrative job at Paris Saint-Germain, like father like son. Screw them.

Tete signed 3 years aged 16/17 signed another 3 years from 2015 aged 20.Ajax offered a new one during 2016 but he and Raiola delayed ,got injured lost his place at the end of that year and then decided to leave.

Bakker should indeed sign another contract and Gravenberch has indicated he wants to stay.We will see.

Back to Kluivert,he has scored some flash goals against poor sides who would be Championship standard in England as he has speed and cuts inside.When a side with real defenders plays against his he has nil effect ie Feyenoord and Utrecht.He will be lost in England if he goes now.

Neres is one of the best wing players Ajax have had in some time. He is not selfish on the ball and when he sees that there is a double team materializing he gets rid of the ball to an open player quickly. Neither Kluivert or Younes do that. I watch a lot of EPL football only because it's on US television and I don't think Kluivert will make it in the EPL. Right now he only relies on speed which is OK for the Dutch league but every single player in the EPL will be as fast or faster than he is. Also remember that Kluivert senior bailed on Ajax as a player very soon after our last CL winning team.

The realities of today's football is that the English teams are in the driver's seat because of the huge amount of television money they all receive. Even rubbish EPL teams make almost as much in television money as the entire yearly cash flow of Ajax minus the income from transfers. No way can Ajax let alone most other clubs in Europe compete against that. Look at how Dortmund, one of the top teams in Germany, have to sell important players.

To be fair to Kluivert senior, he honoured his contract (Yes he went for free after it expired, but the Bosman ruling was in its infancy back then), he stayed during the nightmare season at Ajax (96-97). There was no more motivation for him, despite him being 20, it was time to go. He had already established himself, and unlike Clarence Seedorf, he stayed a couple of seasons longer.

Had we not dithered on Richarlison we would now have 2 quality Brazilian wingers.Younes would have been sold to Schalke last August for 13m and Kluivert would be on our bench .

Neres Richarlison and Lozano all cost 12/13m and all vastly better than Kluivert and Younes,yet Kluivert is quoted at 12m and Schalke confirmed they would have paid 13m for Younes.Transfer values are strange!

Not sure Ajax 'dithered' on Richarlison; he just chose for Premier League football (and more money) at Watford, the way I understood it. The positive thing for me is that Ajax finds players like this again, rather than spending way too much money on average Eredivisie players.

I hope Kluivert comes to his senses, but probably he has made his mind up and will go for the GBPs. It has 'failure' written all over it, but who knows. He might surprise us. He's still very young, so it doesn't have to be the end of his career if he has to make a detour if Man U doesn't work out for him. But at this phase of his career it's important to play on a weekly basis, and it's hard to guess what the impact will be if that doesn't happen at Man U.

By the way, SPL, I'm not disagreeing about Younes. If he's out of contract at the end of the season, then I see no reason to let him play either. But for me it's important to give everything to try to catch PSV, and if that means playing Younes instead of Kluivert if he doesn't perform, then I have no issue with that.

Ajax are set to lose two inverted left wingers at the end of the season, Younes and Kluivert. One inverted left winger is heading to Amsterdam from Mechelen, Bande. The good news, well, it remains to be seen, but Nunnely is a proper winger, however, not sure if he is going to make it at this level. It remains to be seen.

He has said Manu are too big for him at present.I was told by a newspaper sports editor ,that most rumours come from agents either for a move or mainly to get another contract. Seems like Raiola is looking for more money from a new contract!

Rumour today that Raiola is the new agent of Matthijs de Ligt .At best we can only hope we get 1 more year out of him but he is a sensible boy .Sounds like Barry Hulshoff will still be his advisor on playing etc but Raiola will make sure he gets a good transfer.

de Ligt's contract runs to 2021 I think we can assume he wont extend it so we need to sell by 2019. Unlike Kluivert this kid is ready for EPL. Would walk into most sides in EPL. Maybe not Man city but certainly Liverpool and Arsenal.

Trouble with us we have all these talented kids but we are not going to be champs for the 4th year in a row and qualifying for Europe wont be easy . Onana and Neres will likely go this summer and by 2019 de Ligt Kluivert and Dolberg.Come 2020 Donny, Frenkie will go.

All this talent and we will certainly have a lot of money in the bank but wont have won anything!

European football is turning into a wasteland. Viewership of CL football is down in most all of the countries other than England and maybe Spain. Look at how Liverpool lit up Porto in their match the other day and same with ManCity and Basel. None of the lesser league teams stand a chance after the group play. Maybe getting some extra €s helps these teams bottom line. I'm deeply pessimistic about the future of football without some major reforms. Maybe last year's run at the UEFA title will be the last hurrah from Ajax, I hope not but given the club can only keep players for 2-3 years if they are talented means that young teams will continue to take the pitch. This might be OK as far as the Dutch league is concerned but won't do anything for Europe. In the mean time we see clubs such as ManU, ManCity, and Chelsea buying players from all over the world because they have so much money.

100% agree with you Orange. Only Real Barca and Bayern plus the 5 EPL ( not Arsenal they are poor) can win in CL.

PSG are not in that class , will be ko'd easily by a very ordinary Real .

The CL is being killed off by the big money sides and I do fear where football is going.

Matthijs de Ligt has hinted he will leave Ajax, if they don't qualify for Europe this season. I can't say I blame him. Hopefully Ajax will secure second spot and go through to the champions league, which should be easier since the changes were made to the format of qualification

I read that ,clearly he wants to stay but if we dont qualify for even the Europa Cup he will want to leave. He goes on about Ajax is his club and love but at best we will have him for 1 more season.

Of course we may not play our final Qualifying rounds until late August and by then the EPL and Italian transfer period will then be closed.I think Spain and Germany will also close down before their season as well. This means by mid August there wont be any more transfers and can only be good for us as we always sell someone in the last week of August.

I wonder how much longer UEFA can let this state of affairs continue. We have a half dozen clubs in Europe who get their pick of players from all the other clubs. Of course some might argue that Ajax are no different picking up players from Denmark. They should just set up a super league with 12 clubs and let everyone else have a proper European competition. I pretty much only watch CL games when a team I follow plays and that's pretty much Barcelona, Liverpool, and Juventus this season (I follow Dortmund but they crashed out and may be out of the Europa League this coming week). Money always has ruled football and that's not going to change but there could be some tweaks that might even things up.

Viergever has said there is no deal with PSV. Meanwhile Younes ,who has signed a contract with Napoli from 1 July 2018 wants to get out of it. Napoli indicating they want 15m if he goes elsewhere.

So Napoli get him as a player on 1st July for free then sell him immediately for 15m .If this happens I do hope UEFA investigates as Napoli were talking of paying 5m to us in January.

Now being said that Younes pretended to be injured so he would not play the minimum games for us to lift the 1 year option.If we could prove it we should sue him.

Napoli still say he signed a 5 year contract from 1stJuly 2018 so looks like he will end going to court .
