Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
It's difficult to see them dropping any points between now and early December when they come to Amsterdam. Only tough match on paper is a journey to Arnhem to play Vitesse.Manneken Pis schreef:PSV (like us) is out of Europe this season, underlining the strength of their challenge for the Eredivisie.rjf1 schreef:Barring a breakdown resulting from games in Europe .

Feyenoord draw away at Roda, 1-1

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Vitesse - PSV is 1-1 at the half. Vitesse has been playing pretty well -- holding their own and then some. Got burned early by defense splitting pass, but equalized off of a corner in the 45th minute. Our old pal, Serero, is playing central midfield for Vitesse and having a really good game. Makes you wonder if it was a mistake to let him go.

The N'golo Kante of the Eredivisie???rjf1 schreef: Our old pal, Serero, is playing central midfield for Vitesse and having a really good game. Makes you wonder if it was a mistake to let him go.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV now 4-2 and it looks like they will coast to the 3 points. Given we have lost 2 games and were deadful last night we will be 2nd and still only 5 points behind after today.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Vitesse kind of lost the plot at the start of the 2nd half, giving up 3 goals by the 60th minute. They managed to get one back, and came close a couple of times, but in the end PSV won it 2-4, and it looks like no one is going to be able to help us out as far as I can see.

First half it was quite attractive stuff to watch with Vitesse indeed competing strong.SPL schreef:PSV now 4-2 and it looks like they will coast to the 3 points. Given we have lost 2 games and were deadful last night we will be 2nd and still only 5 points behind after today.
After the 0-1 scored by Lozano Vitesse got the equalizer very cheap just before half time.
Probably at half time some Vitesse players seemed a bit too satisfied with their performance. Between the 45th and 75th minute they played shite and completely opened the gate for PSV.
Quite a bit more than a pity, PSV was ready to get punished for their weak defence, but now in this away match their attackers did again gain confidence.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Was unable to watch yesterday's 8-0 win over NAC -- 03:45 start time in my time zone -- so I'm watching Zwolle-PSV today in hopes that Zwolle will help us make up some ground in the standings. 15 minutes in and Zwolle are doing quite well -- there may be hope.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Heartbreaking ending for PEC -- 0-0 up to the very end, then PSV scrape a goal in the final 30 seconds of stoppage time.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
P$V have the same "golden horseshoe up the ar$€" syndrome as Fword had last year.
By hook or by crook they'll scramble their way luckily through games all season.
They'll win the Eredivisie and then bomb in Europe and the league the year after when their luck runs out.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
agree,PSV will win the title and we are 2nd
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I'm not so sure. Weird things always happen in the Eredisie. As the great American baseball player and philosopher, Yogi Berra once said, "...it ain't over until it's over..." We take two from PSV and the margin is down to 2 points!!!!SPL schreef:agree,PSV will win the title and we are 2nd

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
You are right ,still 22 games to go
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Yep it's annoying, but to be fair we had the same syndrome under Frank de Boer. Shoddy football and narrow wins, seems like a reliable way to win the eredivisie in recent times...Manneken Pis schreef:P$V have the same "golden horseshoe up the ar$€" syndrome as Fword had last year.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I still to this day believe that we won back to back league titles not because we were good but, because everyone else was just so much worse. FdB hadn't got a clue, but we had some okay players and just battled through. We were poor, everyone else was shocking

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Groningen equalised against PSV in the 95th minute!
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Good old Groningen now lets win tomorrow and we are 5 points behind
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
And avoid yellow cards for de Ligt and Veltman for the game against AZ, after that it doesnt matter, because then its a mid week fixture in the domestic cup (KNVB cup I think)SPL schreef:Good old Groningen now lets win tomorrow and we are 5 points behind
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Yes, Ajax play FC Twente in the Beker after AZ. I think Ajax need to focus on the cup matches as it might be the only way into Europe next season.Ayman schreef:And avoid yellow cards for de Ligt and Veltman for the game against AZ, after that it doesnt matter, because then its a mid week fixture in the domestic cup (KNVB cup I think)SPL schreef:Good old Groningen now lets win tomorrow and we are 5 points behind

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
What a welcome surprise! Usually it's PSV that winds up winning or tying the game at the last breath of extra time. A portent of good things to come?Tom_ schreef:Groningen equalised against PSV in the 95th minute!
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV 0-1 Vitesse Arnhem, although it's worth mentioning that PSV are dominant at this stage, they are bound to score and win.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV scored, literally the last second of the game and won away to Heracles 1-2.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Every week...
Golden Horseshoe up the arse, last minute win...
They will win the league and then be crap the year after...
It's happens every year in the Eredivisie...
