Viktor Fischer has joined Mainz 05 today leaving Middlesbrough aka the Smog Monsters(ICI Chemical works dominate the area)
He didn't play much for the smoggies so good luck in the Bundesliga.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Vurnon Anita has signed a three year contract with Leeds United of the English Championship.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: Former Ajax Players
After Frank de Boer failed to lure Veltman (renewed his contract at Ajax) and Tete (signed for Lyon), he now wants to sign Stefano Denswil from Club Brugge. But he discarded him at Ajax, what makes him think he would want to join him at Palace, if he doesn't get his man, then I think this move to Palace in the first place is a catastrophe, my bet is, Frank de Boer won't be at the helm after October.
Re: Former Ajax Players
Urby Emmauelson has signed for Utrecht .He never made it after leaving us .
Re: Former Ajax Players
100 Serie A games. Another 20 games in Europe. Seems like a solid, if unspectacular career.SPL schreef:Urby Emmauelson has signed for Utrecht .He never made it after leaving us .
Look at other 'Talent of the year' winners from around his time at Ajax: Mitea, Maduro, Vermaelen, Babel, Vertonghen, Van Der Wiel.
Vertonghen obviously the most successful, Vermaelen was unfortunate with injuries. Mitea did nothing. The rest are all pretty much on par with Urby. 100 odd games for a decent club and then bouncing around looking for work. Hard to argue they're failures, or 'didn't make it'.
Re: Former Ajax Players
Wesley Snjeider's contract with Galatasary has been terminated. Next stop is either Sampdoria or Los Angles in the US league according to what I've read.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Nice have made enquiries about Wesley Sneijder, hopefully he will stall, enough time to miss the game against Ajax.
Re: Former Ajax Players
''OGC Nice have offered Wesley Sneijder a contract. Should the playmaker accept, he could be eligible for the UCL return against Ajax.''
Is this a ploy by Sneijder's agent to get bigger clubs from bigger leagues to submit a bid for him?

Re: Former Ajax Players
Bouy, who left Ajax in 2012 to join Juventus, is set to join championship side Leeds United. Nice way to elevate your career... NOT!
Re: Former Ajax Players
Sneijder to Nice.
Re: Former Ajax Players
Bouy actually went out on loan from Leeds to a Spanish 2nd div team.
Re: Former Ajax Players
I have put away my soap box ie moaning about the state of our club.
El Azzouzi on loan at Excelsior scored a goal today. More obscure Gino v Kessel who was in our Jong a year or 2 back and was last in Slovakia has joined Oxford United in English Div 1 and scored a superb goal yesterday.
Now I dont like the money grabbing pigs of the EPL but I was born in Oxford ,the city of dreaming spires and have always had a soft spot for the U's so will follow v Kessel this season.

Re: Former Ajax Players
So Malen has left Arsenal and signed for PSV. Would have thought he would stay in England but PSV an odd choice as they dont do youth.
Ricardo Kishna ,another Raiola man sold OS before he was ready is back at ADO on loan.
Marvin Zeegelaar sold by Sporting Lisbon to Watford.
Brighton tried to buy Stefano Denswil but he is staying in Brugge.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Well old player and coach but to mention Frank de Boer. At cricket this week talked to 2 mates both Crystal Place fans.
They dont blame Frank but their chairman. Palace play old fashioned soccer with English managers and it was clear from their 1st game the squad couldn't play Frank's style.
Frank has to start again ,maybe mid table German side. Meanwhile he is back home in sleepy little Monnickendam about 3 or 4 m euros richer.

Re: Former Ajax Players
I did feel a little sorry for him. It was blatantly obvious that Palace didn't have the squad to do what he wanted.
On the flip side, he's managed 17 (I think) games from his last two employers combined, coupled with the fact that he was tactically useless with us, I don't think he's anywhere near to being a good manager.
Obviously it's not nice for anyone to lose their job but I can't help but think this was always going to end badly and CP really are better without him.. Just not so sure the fool they've now got in is any better.

Re: Former Ajax Players
Nemanja Gudelj looks to be the one of the former Ajax player who will play in next summer's WC. Serbia topped their group and Gudelj played the full 90 in the final group match. Belgium have qualified with Alderwiereld and Vertonghen in their team. in terms of current Ajax players, Younes would only be called up if there are a lot of injuries to other players. Denmark are in the playoffs so both Schöne and Dolberg may make it to Russia along with Eriksen. Don't know if there are others.

Very sad news and still very young to die
Re: Former Ajax Players
Very shocking to hear. Rest in peace.
Re: Former Ajax Players
Watching the Everton vs Man Utd game, Klaassen isn't even on the bench! I fee for the guy, he is going to have to find a new club either in France or Germany to resurrect his career
Re: Former Ajax Players
Rooney plays that role ,clearly a wrong move for Davy.Hope he goes to a decent German side and proves himself.Early last year his Dad quoted Davy will leave by his 25th birthday ( which is early this year ) but will return by the time he is 30 as this is the only club he really wants to play for. Many say such things but in his case I think he will be back in about 5 years time.
Fosu-Mensah and Riedewald both actually started for Crystal Palace v Man City and had good games.
