Nathan Leyder ,contract to 2018,can leave and is looking for a move back to Belgium. A decent defensive prospect but has had long injuries and played very few minutes for Jong last season.


We now enter the worst 3 weeks of the year when we always sell a key player before the deadline.Dolberg Ziyech or Sanchez!

Veltman and de Ligt can cover Sanchez,KJH and Cassierra cover Dolberg and for Ziyech we did have this beautiful little lad.............We would need to sign another attacking MF

Sounds like Sanchez is off to Spurs and on the cheap .Talk of 35m but not sure if thats £ or euros. We should be asking 50m euros but then again we paid 5m for him and he has one good season in a weak Dutch league. We will wait and see but anything less than 40m euros and Overmars should be sacked.

Overmars has turned down Spurs offer of 40 m euros and offered Sanchez an improved contract ,above our wage limit,and extended a year to 2022.Think we would like to keep him another year and he could then join a bigger club.(Spurs do not pay big wages compared with the other top 6 in EPL. Talk of players leaving as they are not paid enough)

Very difficult to say no to big offers in late August but we must be firm.If anyone wants Sanchez now its 50m and Dolberg 70m ( no I am not crazy but Mbappe 160m after 1 season in France,Dolberg is one of hot prospects so 70m)

Same old same old year after year. When was the last time we went into a season without the chaos of losing one of our key players with no advance planning and then we spend the first two months of the season just trying to get things straightened out.

Fword have done their business ,PSV selling one or 2 simply because they are out of Europe.Both have stronger squads than us.

We have 4 defenders left ,only 1 aged 18 is any good. a 5th about to come from Colombia but thats 3 short.

Midfield we have 4 plus injury prone Sinkgraven who doesn't look good enough , and of the 4 Frenkie is inexperienced and Schone is not good enough for 90 mins

Upfront we still need 2 proper wingers who are not inverted and just cut inside .Neres cost us 12m but is no better than Cerny or even Muric.Cerny on the left and Kluivert on the right are good back ups.

Looking at what we have sold this year Tete,Riedewald Bazoer and El Ghazi ,all sold for peanuts, should still be here.

At least there is talk of Chelsea and maybe others coming in for Sanchez which means we could get nearer 50m.

We have sold far too many players going back to January of this year and have not replaced any with better players.

Couldn't agree more, and it seems like Bazoer, Tete and Riedewald were all sold unnecessarily. Bazoer and Riedewald would probably be in the starting 11 this season if they were still at Ajax.

From the looks of things (taking this with a tsp of salt), it seems that Overmars is trying to keep Sanchez for another year. Is that a first for us? I don't remember us EVER doing that.

More a case of making sure Spurs dont fob us off with a cheap deal with loads of add ons.50m ,no bonuses pay up or he stays.Overmars must stay strong.

Price agreed for Sanchez seems to be 30m euros up front and 15m of add ons. Will have to see what are add ons ,Spurs never win anything so it has to be for appearances in a year.

firstly.. apologies for the looooong absence from the board We've had another little boy added to the clan, so I've been a bit away from the internet for a month or two.

right! now on to this shambles of a transfer window...

I'm really unhappy about this transfer.. It seems like we have (once again a-la vertonghen and alderweireld) let a decent defender go to Tottenham for very, very little. £26m plus add on bonuses is a joke imo. Tottenham have money to burn, really wanted Sanchez, and to get away with only paying £26 for him is not good enough on our part. I'm pretty sure the add-ons will be trophy and appearance based, which means we will never ever get the full 40m Euro quoted.

Not only that, but I'm sure we wont go out and spend the money we've got from him on what we really need.

also, following last nights shambles #2, I wouldn't be surprised if both Dolberg and Ziyech leave within the week. Based on recent years I'd expect that we would probably accept fees of around 20-30m for Dolberg and about 12m for Ziyech, which again is a joke. If Liverpool sell Coutinho for 70m+ and see Ziyech as a direct replacement, why shouldn't we be demanding atleast 50m from them? If they think he's good enough to replace a 70m+ player, then why aren't we charging them for it?

Congrats on being a father again.Good to have you back but sadly this is a club in crisis . Fees are 35 m euros upfront and 10m add ons.( Thats about £31m plus £9m)

I dont think we can complain if that is what we have agreed.Sanchez was very unprofessional in refusing to play and on Weds at training looked unmotivated but he is now going.

The add ons are common with transfers and will be on appearances and on Spurs getting into CL.

So the big question is whether Dolberg or Ziyech will go if and when we lose in Norway. I am not a betting man but would put a £ or 2 or Ziyech going.Roma still looking at him and Liverpool also when Coutinho goes,as he will.

Dolberg still has his old agent until next year and I would think he will wait until then to look to move also he says he is not ready to move up. But,how is he going to learn with no European Football.

Last night sky news showed a film of Sanchez training with the players and there was Nouri . True to say since 8th July nothing has gone right for our club but Overmars and those running the club have made the crisis

Since Sanchez appeared in the CL qualifier for Ajax against Nice, I don't think he is eligible to play for Spurs. I wonder what his role with Spurs will be. Will Alderwiereld move to RB where they have a gaping hole? He has played on the flank for the Belgian NT. I agree this is a fair price.

I really wonder about Ziyech. He really looks very weak on the ball and was easily dispossessed several times last night. Perhaps he just wants away from Ajax because they are out of the CL now and may be out of Europe after next Thursday. Dolberg is really not ready to move up.

I really am quite upset / disheartened about what's been happening over the last month or two,

I'm confident that it's the right thing to let Sanchez go, but I think we could have sucked more cash out of Spurs.

Orange14; from what I've read, they're looking for a back up to Jan and Toby. so it doesn't even look like he will get regular football any time soon. Also, I believe he could have still played for us last night, and not been cup-tied for the Champions League. I believe if Spurs were in the EL, then yes, he couldn't play.. but as it is Champions League he is free to play.

Sanchez now gone 40m euros up front and only 2m of add ons.There was talk of 35m up front and 10 m add ons but we have settled on a lower figure with majority up front.

This guy cost 5m and has played 1 year in the Dutch league, many fans moaning its too little but its a Dutch record.EPL is a big step up.

AS Monaco have opened talks with Ajax over the transfer of Kasper Dolberg, with the Ligue 1 side willing to offer €45 million.

To be honest, I won't be sad to see him go, after all Ajax have Huntelaar, Cassierra and not to mention Kaj Sierhuis, if worst comes to worst, they can always get an emergency loanee in Vincent Janssen, who was benched in recent games for Tottenham Hotspur

I expect Ajax to defeat Rosenborg tomorrow, probably 2-0, so they will still be in Europe. This money is just crazy. I think we got about €30M for Milik who was a starter for the Polish NT and now Dolberg will go for €50M??? I don't think Dortmund will pay that kind of money unless they plan to sell Aubameyang (I don't think Dolberg will even start for Dortmund unless he is sold). Monaco has sold a lot of players and if Mbappe goes (rumoured price that PSG will pay is €125M) they will have more than enough to sweeten the bid for Dolberg.

It appears to me that the Financial Fair Play rules are non-existent. Furthermore, when the new Champions League structure starts (next year???) we can forget about a Dutch club ever playing in the competition. It's just going to be for the big Euro clubs who can throw around money and the Europa League will be all that is left for the minnows.

Yeah Financial Fair Play is just non-existing.
Indeed the Eredivisie Champion and the number two of season 2017/2018 will both play Champions League qualification rounds. With the points collected last season the champion of 2018/2019 will be again directly in the Champions League.

This year the Dutch teams are not collecting enough points to keep it that way, I would say as an understatement.
