Richarlison 's club now want 15m plus add ons. Overmars should just say no thanks.

He has far more important business with a LB ,CD cover, another MF for Nouri and with Roma saying they want Ziyech we may need 2 MF.

I think the seasons for all European Leagues should be the same day in mid August and the transfer market stops then.CL 3rd round qualifiers to start once the league season starts.

For the last few years we always see key players leave in late August and we end up with panic buys.Zimling 2014,Sanogo 2015,Westermann, Traore and of course Krul in 2016.

If Ziyech were to go we are in a mess but that is down to the terrible day of July 8th . 3 weeks ago thoughts of Ziyech leaving left me and many Ajax fans saying great we will see more of Nouri.

Albas has broken his wrist so will be out a couple of months or so. Leeuwenburgh is still injured and Groothuizen wants to leave so we have just V Bladeren as current no 3 and only goalie for Jong. At u19 level we have only 2 fit so no one to move up(Gorski the new Polish lad has had a shoulder op. and out for months)

Richarlison goes to Watford for 12.5 m euros. So all the rumours they wanted 15m plus add ons was a smoke signal.
We were in agreement with the player a couple of weeks ago but then english interest became known and even a rubbish club like Watford will pay more than us.

Overmars seems to have spent a lot of time over this and not on what we really need.

most rumours are rubbish. A guy I know at our cricket club is a sports sub editor for the Sun. When I asked him was his job to make up all the rumours he replied nearly all come from agents looking to get their players moves or pay rises.

I do think some of the Ajax rumours are just foreign press speculating .

My first post after long time:

According to Croatian media, Ajax have agreed a transfer for Mateo Barac from Osijek ( the club that eliminated PSV out of EL). All i know about him is that he is 1,90m tall central defender and left footed, age 23. Price should be around 2 mil.
It seems Ajax was impressed with his performance against PSV. I haven't watched the game so can't say if he's any good.

We seem to be about to buy a 21 Colombian full back called Luis Manuel Orejuela from Deportivo Cali. He plays both right and left back and will cost 3.5 m euros.

Barac has evidently had some heart problems when young and this has scared Ajax off.

We may need 2 new defenders as reports Spurs may want Sanchez and will offer about 40m euros.

Orejuela now officially signed for 5 years 3.5m euros.

We are spending 2m euros to buy Heerenveen's 19 year old Norway winger Dennis Johnsen .He was going to debut this season for them and was looked upon as Larssen's replacement .He is a left winger and will start in Jong Ajax .We are not letting Cerny or Cassierra go out on loan.This kid is expected to debut for our first this season so with Cerny will be understudies for Younes at Left wing.

Central defence.Barac is not coming ,had some heart problems in the past so Ajax have decided not to continue.A new name as Riedewald 's replacement is another Colombian 18 year old Carlos Cuesta.

Not sure we will buy another LB now as Dijks Viergever Sinkgraven and Orejuela can play there.

Unless we sell a key player the only other new player needed is a replacement for Nouri as a Ziyech stand in.
