Does seem as if Overmars has sorted out the U19 youths born in 1998 who cease in the youth system this summer.

Midfielder cum striker Zian Flemming and winger Mees de Wit are staying but back up defensive players Blote and Benninga are going along with Joe v d Sar ,son of Edwin.

Man City and Man Utd are following the progress of Ajax youth talent, Brobby he needs a contract. Meanwhile, other rumours initially claimed that Marc Overmars was in Barcelona to discuss a move for Davinson Sanchez, it turned out that he flew there to discuss a contract extension for Onana, who's agent management are based in Barcelona.

Good news about Onana a really talented goalie.Overmars needs to pay a bit more to keep our talent.

Brian Brobbey is only 15 ,not 16 until next year,so we cannot contract him and the Manchester scum cannot sign him until next summer. There seems to be a lot of talent aged 14 and 15,luckily next year is the last year English sides can sign our 16 year olds. By April 2019 Uk are out of the EU and subject to FIFA rules ie no foreign signings under 18.

I have read Brobbey is not as good as Redan.

Good news Onana has evidently agreed to extend to 2020.Would have been nice had it been to 2021 so in 2 years we would still get a big fee but this shows he wants to continue.

For 2018 we still have Tete,Veltman Viergever,Westermann and Younes. Younes has an option to 2019 and Overmars has indicated he wants to get him extended.Whether any of the other 4 ,all defenders, are still here on 1st September remains to be seen.

Onana has extended to 2021. The press quoted 2020 but I have just seen an update on Ajaxshowtime,official reports its 2021 ,which is even better.Proves you should never trust the papers.

Vince Gino Dekker, Jong Ajax winger has signed an extension to 2018.Had an injury prone season so another year to prove himself.

Only Jong player still without a contract is winger Mees de Wit, just out the U19,but may get a month to month contract to start with.

Eiting has a contract to 2018 so expect him to get a new one soon.

Thanks for the comment Ayman . I do keep up with contracts and thats why Menno Pot called this thread SPL . Big honor for a mere old Englishman who loves and worships this magical club.I get most of my info from Ajaxshowtime.

With transfer fees in football, length of contracts are very important and Overmars has done a good job making sure no one runs down the last year unless aged 30 plus.

He did offer Tete a contract in late 2015 and during early 2016 but Tete and Raiola have other ideas. Next big problem could be Kluivert, now with Raiola but still contracted to 2019.

As I have said of the Jong Ajax squad ,most run to 2018 but Eiting is the outstanding one and will need to be extended asap.

In the first team Veltman Viergever,Tete and Younes all run to 2018 with youngters Kluivert and de Ligt ,both 2019, needing senior contracts as they reach 18.(Kluivert was 18 last month de Ligt in August)

If Viergever and Tete don't renew their contracts this summer, I guess they could move in January. As for Kluivert, it won't be a problem because he is only 18, so his contract can easily be renewed for another three years, but that is as far as it will go, same with Bakker who also has Raiola as his agent. Remember in 2014, Tete's contract was renewed for another 3 years to 2018. Same scenario I'd imagine.

Yes,just got in and saw the headline and a bit surprised. Crystal Palace fancy him but maybe he does not want to join a very moderate lowly EPL side! He cannot be thinking of leaving if he is extending. Another year of him and Zeefuik can be a cover and hopefully move up to No1 RB next year if Veltman then leaves.

Personally I wanted him to stay without extending his contract, just hoped he would be out of the radar of other clubs, and somehow end up being a regular right back in his last season. Oh well.

As for Veltman, the only positive is that, as a youth exponent of Ajax, one of the very few who is staying past the age of 25, good players from the youth system usually leave at 24/25 max.
