Just read the news about Huntelaar coming back. Excited with this signing as long as he's fine with splitting time with Kasper. As with most kids, Dolberg might have an off year this year and having a fit Huntelaar in the ranks will definitely help everybody out here.

Brazilian left back, Junior Tavarez is linked with a move to Ajax. He plays for Sao Paolo, Ajax have been monitoring him for three months. From what I have seen, he is a beast!

He is opposite of someone like Depay and all these footballers with their bling and pop star lifestyle.He lives ,with his childhood sweetheart,in the next village to where they were bought up ie just outside Arnhem. Very down to earth guy and was a superb finisher.He will be a good back up.

Vertonghen is my other old favourite,and also another down to earth ordinary type even though he is at Spurs.Hope in another couple of years he returns to us.

Wow, 3,5m is a lot of money for a 17 year old. I mean I think we payed like a million for Eriksen and I think he was about the same age at the time. Must have great potential. Don't remember the name. I suppose he was way too young to play against us in the E.L just now?

Perhaps he got an extra signing fee for coming to Ajax as transfer free player, but big chance Huntelaar did not ask for this fee.
His salary will for sure not be higher than the yearly amount Davy Klaassen and some others are earning.

Pretty gentlemanlike and decent how this has been settled. 1 June 2017 was the first day that KJH was a transfer free player. So he and his manager did contact Ajax themselves, agreed with Overmars that Huntelaar, his manager and Overmars would not spread any rumours to the media... just signed the contract on 1 June. Good stuff.

Since Klaassen has left, Ajax will need an experienced midfielder, Sneijder still has it in him, but he plays in the same position as Ziyech/Nouri doesn't he? That's a position they thrive in

Looks like two 19 year olds from AZ are joining Ajax. Teun Bijleveld is a MF and Robein Schouten a RB. Bijleveld has signed a two year contract with Ajax with a one year option. No details on Schouten yet. Both expected to play with Jong Ajax

Does anyone know if Vince Gino Dekker is going to be called up to the first team this year? He was really starting to impress in the Jong but had a season ending injury early last year. I think he's training again, but I'm not sure where they're going to stick him - Jong or Ajax 1 at the beginning of the season.

If he had played all of last year, we could've easily have had him and Kluivert replacing Younes this year.

Dekker's contract runs out next week and no news yet on extending as he has been out injured a long time. I think they will give him another 2 years and he will play Jong Ajax next season. From the early Jong games I saw him play last season not sure he looked 1st team material.

PS Our Jong squad looks very short of forwards . Not counting Cerny or Cassierra we have Sierhuis as striker,Dekker winger ,Clement who plays wing but is really a midfielder and finally winger Mees de Wit ,who has no contract.

Benjamin v Leer, Roda goalie and Dutch looks like he is to be our No 2.Seems the clubs are negotiating and we want him in Austria at the weekend.

Ajax have again been reported that a new RB, LB and winger are all they are looking for. Haps at AZ a LB has been rumoured but AZ want 10m !!! The guy is nothing special and we will wont pay that amount for a LB.

Another goalie signed . 17 year old Issam El Maach from Vitesse signed a couple of weeks ago(youth transfer deadline 15 June) but given a contract to 2019 plus a year option and properly confirmed. He is already a Moroccan U17 although born and raised down in Limburg

Robin Schouten the 19 year old RB has now officially joined from AZ and signed a contract to 2019 plus a year option.He will play for Jong Ajax.

Here would be my favourite scenario. Assuming that Younes and Sanchez would leave (Not a wishful thinking of mine with regards to the latter) but here goes. Ajax sign right back Vurnon Anita, Brazilian left back Arana and centre back 18 year old Leo Santos (Both from Corinthians). Jermaine Lens, 29 year old Dutch international left winger. That would be perfect, mixing experienced players with young players.
