True. I think it's also a question of leadership. Who's going to captain this ship if Klaassen leaves? This young team definitely needs a leader. We might see a even younger team than before with Keizer pulling the strings (which is not necessarily a bad thing as we might see more movement and speed). We need a captain that has some experience, the respect of the players and it wouldn't hurt if he would be a true man of the club. A captain should be like a rock and be able to guide and motivate other players.

Is that Veltman? Schöne? Not sure what kind of a role he will have under Keizer. If Sanchez would have been with us a bit longer and it would seem he would stay with us for some years I'd go with him. Such a dominating force that I'm sure inspires the whole team.

Not sure Sanchez speaks Dutch well enough to captain the team. Schöne is not a 90 minute player. It's going to be a tough call as the team is so very young. The one player who has the most experience and is over 20 years of age is Ziyech. Viegever is a possibility but will he be dropped for de Ligt at center back?

Serero -> Vitesse. I thought he was underrated and never understood why de Boer chose Gudelj, but that was effectively the end of his playing career at Ajax. Good luck to him, hope he gets playing time.

Tete 3m seems a poor amount but he is a benchwarmer in the dutch league with just 1 year left on his contract.Seems like he does not want to go to Turkey,prefers Italy!

Klaassen has signed for Everton 28.5m euros. BBC says £26m but that comes to 29.4 m euros approx. anyway just under 30m is a very good deal.

I read that Traore will be going to Lyon for €19M; glad that Ajax did not bid for him.

I wonder with Keizer taking over the team whether some of the players SPL mentions above will stay for one more season. I'm a little more positive towards Younes and think he can do much better under the new trainer. I have a feeling that Riedewald will not leave.

It was time for Klaassen to move on and Ajax received a great price! van de Beek can fit in there. No real need to find a replacement. He had his qualities but was king of the back pass and sloppy in position. However, he did score goals....
Will be interesting to see how he does in England.

You still need that one experienced player in each part of the field, I don't see how we can challenge to go far in Europe without them. Frenkie de Jong is a very talented player, but he is a feather weight

Kenny Tete has turned down a move to Galatasaray. I really hope Inter sign Karsdop from Feyenoord. Last season, Mino Raiola tried to persuade Juventus to sign Tete.

Justin's contract runs to 2019,only a youth contract as he was only 18 last month. No news about a new contract but I dont see him staying beyond next year. Sad but Raiola is a bad agent for kids .

Kluivert and Bakker are still teens, they will get their contracts renewed. Three years ago when Tete was a teen, he got his contract renewed, while everyone thought he would leave at the time

It looks like Zlatan's European career is over as ManU are not resigning him and with his knee rehab it's not certain he will come back as the same player. There are some rumors he is headed off to the US but it will be for a high price tag I'm sure.
