They will not probably already sign this week as first we're of to Warsaw but both Lasse Schöne and Andre Onana are about to extend their contracts.

I'm a firm believer in the Wenger Rule of not signing any 30 year old player. Given all the young midfielders knocking at the door, why is Ajax going to extend Schöne's contract? He is getting to be too slow to play a full 90 minutes and IMO Ziyech is just as good on free kicks. I assume he's going to be making the max salary that Ajax will pay; not a good deal to me.

I go along with your thinking on Schone but most fans want and expect Klaassen to move on this summer and Ziyech will only have 2 years max. Already talk here that Liverpool fancy him.

If we get rid of Schone and the other 2 were to go we could be left with 4 young midfielders and zero experience.

Schone can have 1 more season ,not play the full 90 mins but can be there to help the youngsters.

Basically only 1 of our current 3 starters in midfield should stay next season.It is a nice problem as we can add Eiting who unlike the other 3 may need another season before he is ready .Eiting was 19 last week the others all 20 by the end of the season.

yeah well... I still like the FA Cup with their long history and the final at Wembley Stadium but for Wenger who is acting like a football professor but especially specialised in bringing to North-London the wrong players I would not call winning 2 FA Cups with Arsenal in a period longer than a decade very impressive.

I understand why in English football they organise two different cups. The Dutch teams should also increase the amount of matches they play every season, that could have a good effect. But having two chances to win a cup every season takes of a bit of the glory of winning one of them.

I think it saps a team's energy unless they have a really big roster. It certainly didn't help Liverpool in January with all the matches they had to play.

Schone extends to 2019 plus an option of a further year.I think this is good news if either Klaassen or Ziyech move on in the summer . 2 of them staying would mean one of Donny, Appie and Frenkie starting and probably plenty of games for the other 2.
Difficult for Ajax as the 3 kids are not going to win the league and compete in Europe on their own.They dominate as a trio in the Jupiler League but they are not ready as a trio to play every league game for the first.We still need a couple of experienced midfielders.Schone wont play every game next season but is a true Ajax man and I am glad he stays on as he can only be good for the kids.

PS I say 3 kids but Eiting makes 4 as he will be good enough for the 1st next season.

True and for the long term his ambition will for sure be to be a regular starter at a big club in Spain but for now he promised me he will sign a new contract even against the salary offered by Marc Overmars!

Ajax want Veltman to extend ,runs to 2018. He indicates ok but has ambitions to move . Nothing yet on Onana.

Viergever,Tete also run to 2018 ,Younes also but has an option to 2019.Westermann also 2018 but will leave in the summer.

Contract talks with Onana we want him to extend to 2021 sounds like a deal soon. Veltman has had an offer to 2020,
he has indicated he is open to an extension but may still look to leave.

Tete again says open to extend but has heard nothing. Ajax offered him an extension back in Dec 2015 but at the end of last season Raiola,his agent said no deal.

So we keep Veltman and let the better full back Tete go!!

I still feel that Tete is a top RB in the making. We tend to judge players very fast and with all the young "talent" coming from our academies, we have made great mistakes misjudging players that went on to become better than the ones we kept.

Number two is, that I still believe Veltman is a DC and not a RB... He has the body, the pace and the skill set of a Central Defender. Anyhow, we will see how this plays out...

Onana says he wants to stay with us but his agent says Ajax's first offer is not good enough .Onana wants to be on the top players wages along with Veltman Klaassen Schone. If Overmars says no expect him to leave on the cheap.

A1 goalie de Lange has finally been offered a contract to 2020.Twente have offered him a deal and other Dutch and foreign clubs are interested.

From what I read only Onana is better but we seem to have left it too late.If Twente offer him a better chance of playing he should go. He should have got a contract before Christmas and evidently is not happy at losing his place in the U19 CL games.

Gut feeling he will stick 2 fingers to Ajax , think I would in his shoes.Overmars cock up again.
