I think we did ok (considering it's a European away game) for 20 minutes or so. Ball handling errors +/- players slipping meant the ball kept getting turned over.

A draw was a fair result. Take away our 2 superb goals and we created nothing . Ziyech and Younes ,except their goals did nothing ,Dolberg set the goal up and did nothing else and as for Traore what did he do.

Gudelj wouldn't get in our Jong team if I had my way ,any one of de Jong v d Beek and Nouri are a lot better than him.

Dos Golazzos, one by each side, on an oil slicked field and the points are shared (though Celta should have scored when they had a free header off a corner kick). It was a pretty even match with players sliding all over the pitch and relatively few chances created. Another defensive lapse on a free kick by Ajax (how many times do I write this?) and a very mediocre game from all the midfielders is always a recipe for a poor match. Outside of the two goals, there really wasn't much to get excited about. If anyone can be looked at as having a good match it is Viergever who was good on defense and really went forward well out of the central defense position.

Player Ratings:

Onana (6) - no difficult plays to make and tried mightily to get to the second goal but it was always going past him
Sinkgraven (3.5) - forget about this match and move on
Viergever (7) - only solid match by an Ajax player
Sanchez (5.5) - He missed the clearance on the first goal and was caught out of position a couple of other times
Veltman (6) - just a shade above average
Gudelj (4) - no need to say any more
el Capitan (4) - his poor play is getting tiresome
Ziyech (5) - well taken goal amidst a bunch of poor passes and lost possessions
Younes (5) - wonder goal and the rest of his game is deserving of a 3.5
Dolberg (5) - great pass to Ziyech but his hold up play really needs work
Traore (5) - came alive in the second half after not seeing the ball at all in the first
Cassiera (5) - a couple of touches and no more
Bazoer (5) - not much to say one way or another

First Klaasiker coming up on Sunday and it's looking like a must win match if Ajax aspire to the title.

Just looked at the scoreboard and both matches in our group ended up 2-2. We are two points up on Celta and a win in Amsterdam should send us through to the knockout round.

Agree ratings and Viergever was our best player,I quess thats how bad we were

We surely must hope Schone is fit for Sunday and also Tete and Riedewald should be full backs.Sinkgraven is a midfielder and no defender although I think Dijks would not have done anything more to stop that shot for the 2nd goal.
