Saturday evening match in advance of the upcoming CL qualifying tie. Roda drew with Heracles last weekend. Will the Ajax attack wake up? Who will play in the midfield? Is Sanchez ready to play in the first team?

Wasn't it Riedewald? there were two Roda players in the box against two Ajax defenders. Sanchez stayed goal side of his marker and Riedewald did not.

Must say, I've had some poor streams so could be wrong. The best Spanish stream is showing the match 20 minutes delayed as they were covering another game that overlapped. Can't watch it as my wife and I are going to the movies right after the Ajax game.

2. Younes/Traore on LW to provide width.

Maybe Younes for Gudelj and Sinkgraven to move into midfield.

If Dolberg's progress is inhibited by Traore's presence shame on Bosz. this guy is like Huntelaar with a real nose for goal!! I see Ajax had 82% possession and 8 shots on goal while Roda had only the one that went in.

Wasn't it Riedewald? there were two Roda players in the box against two Ajax defenders. Sanchez stayed goal side of his marker and Riedewald did not.

Riedewald and Dijks had 2 Roda forwards to mark. Riedewald's marker pulled away and Riedewald stayed put. Dijks marker moved into Riedewald's zone and Dijks let him go.

got back from cricket just as they kicked off.2 lovely goals from Dolberg but a Sanchez error led to their goal.We dont look very convincing for all our possession but Sinkgraven is at least trying to create and doing ok.

@Orange I thought Sánchez chased the ball over to the right after his half clearance fell to a Roda player, so it was Dijks and Riedewald in the middle. But I have the same problem as you with telling what's happening.

Just saw the Roda goal, it was Dijks! Terrible play.

Sinkgraven is pulling too far in and is helping Roda crowd the middle of the field. Dijks is moving into that zone but is starting too far back and Roda is able to close that side down before he can create any threat.

Also Dolberg is awesome and I agree with who whoever said it earlier - he's the first pure #9 to play for us since Huntelaar

Speaking of Sinkgraven, what kind of formation are Ajax playing. Sinkgraven is constantly moving between the wing and the MF. Looks like they are relying mostly on Dijks to cross the ball from the wing. Klassen looks like a withdrawn striker and doesn't get many touches in the midfield which is a good thing.

You called it Amol, Sinkgraven for Younes. Maybe Traoré for el Ghazi soon, he was also bad.

I do like that Klaassen has been given the right to roam and has been ending up in a lot of different zones in the front. I think that's the biggest difference between De Boer and Bosz - Bosz lets these kids roam/switch positions more often.

Yes, you can really see the difference when there's a winger on the wing. Younes is causing some serious trouble for the Rode defence.
