We beat Galatasary 1-0 Bergsma the goal. Semi v Spurs
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Just lost 1-0 to Spurs so we will play a 3rd place game later.
Good news Ajaxshowtime has an interview with Zeefuik and he says he will be staying and a contract is in hand.Sierhuis says he expects to be the A1's main striker next season so hopefully these 2 will get contracts this summer.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
We beat ASA Utd 1-0 for the 3rd place ,Bay scored.
Ajax Capetown beat Spurs 2-0 in the final.
A decent performance overall, given the absent players, with just the 1 defeat by Spurs and that was the only goal we gave away in 5 games.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
I know Youth is in the DNA of our club and supporters and even English fans like me . Most football fans I talk to dont know anything about their clubs youth teams but being an Ajax lover I find it part of being a fan. Looking up the A1 and B1 youth results on a Saturday comes before any English results for me.
Ajax showtime tells me just about everything and everyone and its youth coverage must be the best of any club anywhere on the planet.About 26 or 27 kids aged 15 plus left our youth this summer and have to sign for a new club in Holland by 15 June. Today AS lists the players and their new clubs. In the space of 2 hours those shown as unknown were reduced from info from the posters whose knowledge is amazing.
I am sure this could only happen at this club .Youth will always rule at Ajax.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
17 year old Youth RB Navajo Bakboord said today he had offers from 3 EPL clubs last year but turned them down because he wanted to stay in Holland and he felt he would be better off developing at Ajax.He signed a 3 year deal with us Money would come later.
Nice to hear. Many talents do stay .
Barca are reported to have 5 youths on their list . Bazoer,Riedewald.Cerny ,de Ligt and v d Beek. de Ligt they saw at the U 17 Euros and Donny they would love to buy now and put him in Barca B (3RD division in Spain) Not going to happen , 3 years ago aged 16, with no offer from Ajax Donny turned down Bayern Munich.
I imagine all the big rich clubs will have these on their lists plus Tete ,who is already the best Dutch RB and Nouri also Frenkie de Jong. (Frenkie said no to Chelsea before saying yes to us.)

How many talented RBs do we have? I've heard good things about Owusu, Sanniez and also Bakboord. How about some left backs now?SPL schreef:17 year old Youth RB Navajo Bakboord said today he had offers from 3 EPL clubs last year but turned them down because he wanted to stay in Holland and he felt he would be better off developing at Ajax.He signed a 3 year deal with us Money would come later.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Yes we seem to have loads of RB's Zeefuik ,18, will also be with Jong Ajax this season. LB's apart from Dijks Savastano, who was injured last season and Gudelj's brother ,who did not play regularly for youths last season , are in Jong squad with Dankerlui ,another RB being played at LB and also Warmerdam, a Cd who can play there.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
There are some who believe Sanniez would be a great DM. I don't know if he's played that position in the youth.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
I don't know whether the interest was real, but Hossein Zamani who played last year on the C1 team turned down ManU and will stay at Ajax. He said that he was seriously considering moving abroad. He moves up to the B2 this year and can play either on the wing or as a striker.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Saw a rumour about this kid a few weeks ago glad he says he is staying . Looking at Ajaxshowtime he is born 1-1 2002 so is not 16 until 2018. If Uk out of EU by then he wont be able to leave for EPL as kids U18 cannot move abroad FIFA rules. He would still be able to move withing the EU
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
I guess it is now dependent on which of the two women the Conservatives choose. One of them wants to file an article 50 right away while the other wants to negotiate first. It sounds as though France and Germany are in no mood to negotiate. We have a good friend whose daughter works in London as she has both a German and American passport. They are concerned that she won't be able to stay employed if UK leaves.SPL schreef:Saw a rumour about this kid a few weeks ago glad he says he is staying . Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Having signed a16 year old Romanian we have today said we are signing 2x Hungarians. Milan Horvath a left winger ,who is 16 on 18 July and Schon Szabolcs an attacking midfielder ,who is not 16 until 27 Sept. Both are due to sign 3 year deals ,Horvath coming in August and Szabolcs in October.
So I must not moan about our own 16 year olds going to England when we just go abroad and sign 16 year olds.

Does this not mean that EPL clubs will only be able to develop their younger players without any overseas players inSPL schreef:If Uk out of EU by then he wont be able to leave for EPL as kids U18 cannot move abroad FIFA rules. He would still be able to move withing the EU
their ranks? I wait the EPL reply to this; maybe this points system will be in place...or will EPL/UK soccer die, not that is alive now, and continue the downward spiral left from June 23? I presume this FIFA ruling covers ALL teams in UK, not just EPL!

34 will always be with us
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
I understand FIFA rules you cannot sign U18's but of course you can do under EU freedom of movement. I would imagine once we are out the EU EPL and indeed all english clubs wont be able to sign U18's from abroad and will have to develop their own locally produced players.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Another kid goes abroad .16 year old Cd James Forfana has signed for Lazio. He came to us from PSV 2 year ago and was one of those released this summer when we did away with our A2 youth team. I read this kid had trials at Stoke and Burnley.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Following Forfana to Lazio we have another kid joining Lazio. Magid Suleiman 16 defender released by us back in the summer was reported to have joined Sparta Rotterdam but has now gone off to Rome.
These 2 kids are different from the Fosu-Mensah ,Malens in that we did not want them.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
We have signed 16 year old Hungarian left winger Oliver Milan Horvath on a 3 year contract.( I mentioned our interest below back in July and usually post under new players but it will be lost today as we are signing Traore)
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
The U-19 team won their youth CL qualifying match in Iceland defeating Breideblik 0-3. Goals from de Ligt, de Wit and Serhuis. The return leg will be in October in Amsterdam.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Yes a good win by our U19 but they should beat Iceland youths.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Looked like they could have scored 3-4 more goals!
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
A good week for the U19 as they beat PSV 3-0 today in the league,de Ligt Zeefuik and Eiting all played. Think they will be used for the U19CL games and PSV and Feyenoord league games.
Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Ajax A1s are up 3-0 over the Icelandic team in the Youth CL competition. Serhuis with a wonder goal. Antonucci and de Wit also scored with the match in the 2nd half.

A1s win the tie 7-0 over the two games and draw PAOK Salonika in the next qualifying round of the Youth CL.

Re: Ajax Youth & Amateurs
Yes a very easy 4-0 win by our A1's.Sierhuis's wonderful goal was on the internet its worth watching ,a cross from the right wing into the area and he scored with an overhead bicycle kick .
I noticed of the Jong Ajax trio who missed the game on Monday, de LIgt and Eiting played just 45 mins and Zeefuik missed the game with an injury.
